With my son I can *almost* guarantee you what he'll "be" when he grows up:
- law enforcement (police, federal, etc.)
- journalist
From the time he was VERY small (2ish) he has been absolutely INTENT on what other people are doing, and if they are doing it "correctly". It's been an ongoing issue particularly in school & classes... but it's in every area of his life (from people driving, to parenting, to examining laws/rules to see if THEY are 'just' in his opinion).
He's never had a fascination with police officers/law enforcement/journalists (aka isn't dressing up for halloween or keen to be)... it's just the way he is.
At 8 he currently wants to be a US Marine, Pilot, Video Game Designer, Farmer, Restaurant Worker, Actor. But I have $50 on the table with my mom as to whether he'll go into law or journalism eventually. Either just FITS him.
