Beck's Premier light is 64 calories and tastes like real imported beer, not like that 64 calorie Miller water beer. Mostly I drink wine, cabernet in particular, but I do make a lot of martini's for parties.
I used to love Tequila - but I couldn't remember much the next day. People would have to fill in blanks "Don't you remember? You were talking to so and so and then we went to dance?" That was college.
Then I went through a Vodka phase. Vodka tastes good with everything. I loved how versatile it was, but I realized, I didn't feel any sort of buzz when drinking it. It just didn't do much for me, but I still had the headache the next morning.
Speaking of headache - I went through a wine phase, and a homemade sangria phase. I love how warm and fuzzy and all over lovely wine makes me feel, but the headache wine gives me isn't worth it.
Of course, I love a good cold beer, but it makes me fat. And it's expensive.
Right now I'm on a whiskey kick. It tastes good a lot of differant ways, no headache, I can remember every conversation and you can get a good whiskey without going broke. What about ya'll? What's your poison?

Anything sweet! I've had my share of hard liquors back in my younger days and now I just love chillin with a sweet drink that makes me feel like I'm on vacation.
I love peach flavored anything and coconut drinks...yum!! I also like amaretto.
For beer, I like Boulevard wheat with a lemon squeezed in it.
Pinot noir is my favorite :) I cant handle shots any more and dont like beer. Stoli and sprite is yummy too. Sometimes the sweet gets to you though.
Wine does make you feel lovely!! lol! Have you tried drinking a water bottle or two between glasses and motrin before bed? It may help.
Whatever you're buyin' : )
Just kidding. I'm a beer and vodka (not together) person myself.
Fuzzy navels are my favorite spring/summer drink. I often hate it if I order it though, I don't know what people are doing wrong. Just take a rocks glass and do 1 shot vodka, 1 shot peach schnapps, and a little orange juice (to taste). I like to serve with fresh peaches as a garnish just because I love them. My favorite winter drink is Ghiradelli hot chocolate (yes, the brand of hot chocolate can make a HUGE difference), and add a shot of Godiva liqueur and a shot of peppermint schnapps.
If you're wanting to "feel" something and not have a headache, I really like vodka with cranberry juice (not a lot, not too little). I'm pretty fussy about my drinks, and I guess that (and the price) is why I make them myself, lol. I'm always the designated bartender at parties with friends.
Not the answer you're looking for, but I don't drink anything alcoholic. Ever.
My great-grandfather was an alcoholic. It made life very hard for his kids (my grandma & her siblings), especially as they got older. His wife even moved out because of it (although they never divorced). My mom is a recovering alcoholic. She's been sober for 20 years, but is still "recovering alcoholic."
With the family history of it, I just don't want to tempt fate, I'm pretty sure I'd get addicted too fast. And, I never miss any fun because of it. I think I have more fun because I'm in control of my brain! :)
Captain Morgans (orginal)!!!!!!!! With Coke or sprite, it's delicious, and "works" fast!
I LOVE a good bloody mary - but it has to be a good one....
or.....
a margarita on the rocks w/salt and extra lime
- Lavender Martinis
- Mint Gimlets
- Bloody Mary
- Tequila Shots
- Margarita Rocks
- Cloudy Sakes
- Wine (decent, good, great) in every varietal & region per my mood. My absolute favorite is Petrus (61 or 82... haven't had any from 2000 plus but there's supposed to be a few good years). I love old bordeauxs, but in my current price range I've been having fun finding drinkable wines in the 10-40 range. Love the lilac on the exhale from Stags Leap Merlots, chocolatey spicy south african, spicy shiraz, round pinot noirs... obviously I have a thing for red wine. Low tannins, vanillan a bonus, the more complex the better. For whites, I actually prefer sparkling (champagne, prosecco, etc.)
Alcohol has very little effect on me... I've been hungover/sick 3 times in my life (maybe 4). I've drunk gallons, and I've not drunk for years. I really enjoy the flavors and the warmth.
Pineapple Malibu Rum with cranberry juice. And a Boulevard Wheat for beer!
I.... don't drink much.
I get a reaction to some alcohol. (allergic)
But I know, keenly... how much and what reaction I will get, if any... to the said alcohol.
But, when/if I drink, I like :
Limoncello
Rastini
Midori
Long Island Iced Tea
Sake
Alize (the "e" in the word is accented but I don't know how to put the accent above it when I type).
Pastis
Wheat beer
Panache (also called a Shandy in England)
In college: Shots, B-52 shots or Tequila, and Long Isle. Ice Teas.
Jack Daniels and Bud Light :) I tend to drink more whiskey then beer though Teehehe
Oh helloooo fun question ;)
Vodka and (light) cranberry. Not diet, LIGHT.
Of course, if the kids weren't around, it would be Southern Comfort straight, right from the freezer. No ice please!
Once in a while, I NEED a margarita.
If I could drink one thing all the time without the insomnia side effects, SUGAR FREE REDBULL AND VODKA!!
Yay and YUM. Thanks for asking ;)
What a fun question! I always drink red wine (I usually don't get a headache b/c I never drink more than 2 glasses at a time). Red wine is my favorite, especially on an empty stomach (you get good buzz fast, and then you eat dinner with a nice buzz)! I also love sangrias, but not any sangrias - Anamia's sangrias!! I live not too far from you (Flower Mound), but I don't know if there is an Anamias by you. Besides Flower Mound, there are also locations in Coppell and Southlake that I know of. Anamia's sangrias are the best, and I won't drink sangrias from anywhere else. You get a great buzz (I love drinking them on an empty stomach and eating chips and salsa w/ it before we order), and the presentation is an A+! It is a very pretty drink w/ lots of fruit in it and some lovely green garnish. Recently, I was at Studio Movie Grill (Lewisville) and decided to take a risk and order something else other than wine - it was some vodka lemonade drink of theirs. It was okay - a little too sugary and I didn't even get a buzz! What a waste! I had a feeling I would be disappointed and I was. If you don't drink more than 2 glasses of wine (and have some food with it or after it), you should be fine. Drink water with it, too, which should prevent a headache.
I do love my dessert drinks, too - kahlua and cream, kahlua and decaf, baileys and decaf, a mudslide and a grasshopper!
Margaritas and pomegranate martinis! Love wine but it hates me-esp the next day! Beer is only on a hot summer day and only the kind you put limes or lemons in.
I haven't had a drink in 5 years, and before that I think I had about 8 in 7 years. So, not a huge drinker. BUT, I love a good Midori Sour or a good Mojito..yum! (but, it literally takes me about an hour to drink one drink...so I don't even get a buzz going. lol)
L.
Bloody Mary
Malibu Coolatta (Made with Malibu Rum)
Nutty Irishman
Tequila - straight up no salt or lemon
But since I am due in October there will be none of that this summer. Oh well I can wait. :)
Lindemans Framboise Lambic
Franziskaner Weissbier with lemon wedge
amaretto sour
I rarely drink (family history of Alcoholism) and when I do, boy can I drink! I've only been to tipsy/sleepy once and I didn't like it one bit. I'm a friendly drinker..VERY friendly.
My choice, vodka, I like the crisp taste of it and it's versatility.
My husband's not a drinker himself, but he enjoys when I do. I'm safe at home and he's the only one around so he gets the full force of my sillies and "friendliness".
not a big drinker but love Colorado Bulldogs! of course a good margarita now and then (but don't ask them to make it w/ half the alcohol or half virgin/half reg if they use mixes...that really confuses them!!!) drank Mike's hard lemonade too prebaby 2 years ago...which leads me to my own jff question - I bought some Mike's in February 2009 then found out 2 days later I was pregnant and they've been sitting in the fridge since - do they have an expiration date? cuz I can't find one!!
I rarely drink, but when I do, I love a pomegranate martini! How girlie is that?!
I don't drink a lot but when I do, these are my preferences.
Wine: red (pinot noir is my current favorite)
Liquor: Vodka Tonic
Beer: good beer (no bud, coors, etc. - I will drink those if that is what my host serves just not my first choice)
These days I like hard cider or wine.
Anything else even in the smallest amounts gives me horrible headaches.
I don't like to drink. none of them taste right for me. I dislike wine, vodka and all that are just too something for me. I will have a beer once in a few months, summertime, with a big salty meal. but i like homemade lemonade. that is my weakness, just lemonade.
HOW BORING AM I??? GEEZ
Hi T.
Some wine when at home (relaxing),used to be red but I find that too heavy and get sleepy so now white.
Whiskey ( Irish Jameson ) when out on the town. I find it puts me in a lively ,buzzy mood.
I used to drink alot more when I was younger but now it's quite rare when I fancy a drink. I 'm pregnant at the mo so zero alcohol.
B. k
I love Strawberry-Mango Daquris if I want something fruity. If I want something strong, I love Patron with Lime. Vodka Cranberries are always good. As is any fruit juice and vodka.
So many good drinks out there.
I love Hennessy and Pepsi or Captain or Barcardi and Pepsi(rum and coke)!!! I like Dark liquor. White makes me want to fight! lol dark makes me sleepy and want to.............! lol you know the deal!
Like Amanda C. said, try a good Irish whiskey with Ginger Ale (I use Diet) over ice add a lemon/lime twist and YUM!
I love beer, all kinds of beer, depending on the season and my mood. In summer, I love a Michelada (beer poured over lime juice, ice, and spices - google for a recipe) or Blue Moon with an orange slice. Negro Medelo with lime is my Mexican favorite. Cooler weather is good for an ale like Newcastle, and once in a while a Guiness or a Black & Tan. Love trying new micro beers, just for variety.
I like red wine - Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Merlot.
I once in a while have a mixed drink - like a Cosmo or a version of a Martini. Gotta be careful of these, though... Oh, and there's a Mexican place locally that makes killer margharitas, like nowhere else, gotta be REAL careful of those!
Fun question! For wine it's Pinot Grigio or nothing. Nothing red (headache!) and I can't stand Chardonnay.
I don't drink beer at all. It tastes like liquid bread and dirty socks to me :)
Ah...mixed drinks! Margaritas are always good (the occasional Tequila shot is still fun), I like Amaretto sours, and lately I've been drinking white Cosmopolitans, and vodka mixed with just about anything goes down easy.
Oh and let's not forget Long Island Iced Tea! If I don't have to drive (or be functional the next day lol) then that's really my drink of choice. But that's a once every few years while on vacation kind of thing. I used to drink a lot of those when I was younger but I'm a really cheap date now lol!
Chianti with dinner or before bed, Mike's Hard Lemonade (or Harder Lemonade) with popcorn and a movie, and Single Malt Scotch, neat, on a special night. My husband also makes fabulous Hot Buttered Rum. Mmmmm... I've kind of lost my taste for beer after having kids, but do enjoy a few sips of a nice stout or something, Guinness, Scotch Ale, Oatmeal or Chocolate Stout, etc. The darker the better. :) I don't really drink much since I have to be able to wake up if the kids need me and I usually won't drink anything until they are in bed or heading there, unless it's wine with dinner.
A Bloody Mary. I figure I'll at least get a serving a vegetables (tomato juice and celery) with every drink, so it's good for me!
Mainly Irish whiskey's: Tulamor Dew, Micheal Collins and Jameson are my faves right now. I like it with ginger ale or just on the rocks.
I also like vodka, but I don't really like any mixers so I drink it with lemon and a splash of water.
I love red wine, I don't get headaches if I don't overindulge and I stay away from merlot's and usually cabs as well. I like red zin the most: 7 deadly zins, Gnarly head red zin are my faves. I also like Pinot Noir and several blends (Blue Franc is my favorite blend).
Yes, a great fun question!
I don't drink very often (maybe 1-2 times a month)... mostly because I have a fear of becoming an alcoholic like many of my family members (are or were). But, when I do drink it's usually a margarita (here in NM, they're the "house special" in most restaurants on most nights). If I want to get a good buzz that will last through a meal and all the way home, I'll go for the glory of a Long Island Iced Tea--which is probably my favorite drink (when it's made well). I cannot stand the taste or smell of beer, so that's off the table. I will drink wine sometimes, usually when we attend one of the local Wine Festivals... :)
Lol, no tequila for me! One bad night years and years ago totally ruined it for me, and now even the smell makes me a bit queasy.
I'm not a big drinker now, but I do like a good beer every now and again, but I'm picky, no Bud Light :). I also enjoy a glass of wine sometimes with dinner.
During the summer I love mojitos, otherwise I'm a gin girl.
hate beer - i don't even like to kiss my husband after he drinks the occassional beer...
i tend to get loose-lipped pretty fast on tequila, so i monitor where/when i drink that - plus, i'm just not a huge fan of it...
i do like a blush wine(red and white give me headaches) - and i really like strawberry daquiris on a hot day. i like a crown and coke once in a blue moon as well :)
No beer ever. Went through a heavy rum/diet phase...just got too sweet...
Wine gives me a major headache and totally MESSES me up...
Vodka seems just right - though I never drink at home and only go out socially every month or so.
Margarita on the rocks with sugar on the rim, not salt.
Right now, my 'calm down' drink in the evenings is a glass of two-buck-Chuck.
Back in college, I simply LOVED blue kamakazi's, but even more-so, LOVED LOVED LOVED a shot called "Chocolate Cake." You'd shoot it, then suck the lemon that was covered in sugar. When you put the sugary lemon to your tongue after the shot, it tasted JUST like Chocolate cake. Next girl's night that you have, make them. They're delicous and fun.
madori sours and coronas with lime and wine..... dont see any alcohol in my near future though... : (
pineapple juice and coconut rum, my sis adds a bit of 7 up. Hornsby Crisp Apple beer, bud light, white zinfedel, moscato and if I am in real drinking mood(rare) tequila shots. I am allergic to cherries so that knocks out anything with grenadine. :(
Can't stand liquor or beer.
My only alcohol is white wine - specifically sauvignon blanc. And preferably an organic version (less head-ache it seems like).
I like to have half a glass while making dinner sometimes.
a good bloody mary, cajun style, a little extra hot.....
dark red zins
snobby belgian or cali beers
lambic
scotch
tequila
Great question... I am not a big drinker, hate beer and most hard liquor. I like a glass of cheap white sparkly wine (ice cold, with an ice cube, weird I know). My favorite drink is a slingapore sling! I usually only have them in the summer at the campground. They are a nice fruity drink with gin and cheery brandy. My daughter is counting the days until we start camping, about 35 days or so, now I want a drink this weekend! But I can wait, cheer to you all, alcholic drink or not, cheers....
The list of what I like is WAY too long so I’ll just tell you what I don’t like = Gin & tonic. Never liked that combo.
That’s pretty much it.
I drink during the weekends mostly; Friday & Saturday, but during the week not so much.
=-)
I am the world's biggest lightweight. I don't really like beer unless I'm really hot and the beer is really cold. I prefer sweet, fruity drinks. I used to drink wine coolers, but now they are a bit too sweet, and I drink smirnoff ice occasionally. I really enjoy margarita's, either frozen or on the rocks. My favorite is the daily's premixed margarita in a pouch. I don't like wine, but have discovered a sparkling moscato that I really enjoy when I am in a wine mood.
Wine. And boy do I miss it. I'm 26 weeks pregnant, so its been a while! I drank it often enough that I never got a headache anymore. Ya a bit of a lush! lol
White Russian. Tastes like dessert. Yum : )
It's so funny because I don't drink. I'm not a drinker BUT if my husband gets a margarita I always take a few sips because I LOVE THEM. I would never order my own though. I would down it and then I'd be trashed and you might find me on a table somewhere. That would not be good.
Most people think this is gross, but I really like "bloody beer," which is about 2/3 beer and 1/3 clamato juice or V8. They make a version of it already in a can-it is Bud Light Chelada. It is the perfect camping drink. I know, you're thinking, eeewww...but it is very good. I also really like red wine-pinot noir is my favorite. Boy, this makes me thirsty :) Between pregnancy and breastfeeding I haven't had a drink in about a year and a half.
My favorite is a Dirty Belvedere Martini with bleu cheese olives... extra dirty. At the moment I've been drinking Rasberry Stoli with Lemonade, its the perfect summer cocktail. The ONLY beer I drink are the Cheladas.... I mix Coors Lite, and Clamado with some key limes and a lightly salted rim. MMMMMMMM!! And my favorite 'going out' shots are chocolate cake and cactus coolers.
Drinking to enjoy one ... Bacardi (rum) and Dr. Pepper ... Capt Morgan Spiced (rum) and Coke or Orange Cola ...
Getting drunk and wild with the gal pals (taxi required) ... Pitcher of beer and a few bottles of Jager on ice!!!
Budwiser is beer of choice since that brings in the bacon ... my man is a Delivery Driver for Budwiser :)
Really, I'm not much of a mixed drinks kind of gal, a good, robust glass of Cabernet does it for me! However, you are right, vodka DOES taste good with everything.
Mai Tie
Gin and Ginger ale
not at the same time ;)
well im pregnant, and oddly enough the number one thing I crave is alcohol!!! How horrible is that? But before the bump, my alcohol of choice has always been Vodka. We are best friends.. well were.. we are taking a break at the moment ;) I love Vodka with anything really.. anything sweet though.. but in the summer I love it with some club soda nice and refreshing. Im a girly girl so Pom Martini's are a fav, Stoli Ras with lemoade and a little cran mmmmm... omg im making myself want one!!! Cant wait for this little one to pop out because that is one of the first things im going to have!!!
I don't do yellow beer. Give me a Guinness and I'm a happy camper.
Liquor - margarita on the rocks with salt, dirty vodka martini, gin and tonic, or Jack and Coke
Not big on wine
I love a good cranberry juice and vodka. Cherry or Rasberry vodka is the best to mix! Although cranberry and pineapple rum is pretty darn amazing too!
I'm not a beer girl, and I don't like normal wines. The sweeter the better! And I looove Sangria.
My SIL made some sangria injected oranges that she stuck in the freezer (didn't freeze, but got really cold!) for a party last year that were to.die.for. Between those and the pudding shots, we had a good time!
