the best you can do is just ride it out at this point. i am pregnant with my third and i have morning sickness mostly in the afternoon's and evenings. the bright side to this unpleasant apect of early pregnancy is that it means you have high levels of hcg hormones, which means you are supporting a healthy pregnancy. the downside is you feel terrible. when you see your doctor, ask for a prescription for dissolvable zofran. it works almost immediately and even if it doesn't stop the nausea completely, it definitely takes the edge off. phenergren and reglan are also helpful prescription anti-emetics. until you see the doctor, try ginger any way you can get it in. it naturally settles your stomach and inhibits the vomiting. i was sick like you are now until almost 7 months with my daughter. with my son, my second child, just two weeks. this one is going on 10 days, so i am hoping for relief soon. make sure everything you take in is lukewarm, your stomach will tolerate it better. the only exception is popsicles. they seem to do the trick sometimes. also, if you have a motherhood maternity store nearby or access to it online, they have what are called "preggie pops" and "preggie drops". they are sour suckers, with and without the sticks. they tend to help reduce the nausea also. anything on the sour side, such as lemonlime sode (sprite, 7-up, squirt) makes your mouth water a little bit and can reduce nausea also. try to eat little amounts, just a couple bites at time until you think it will stay. if it stays for 1/2 an hour, try a couple more bites. stick to bland foods and things that are kind to you coming back up, the last thing you need is for your throat to be irritated further by tortilla chips or other crunchy, hard foods. other than that, keep your fluid intake up. if you begin to feel faint, please, by all means hit the ER immediately. they can rehydrate you and give you IV nausea medicines. i work in the ER and ICU, and also had to hospitalized three times during my first pregnancy. pay close attention to your level of hydration, such as urine output and capillary refill(pinch your finger and if it taking longer than 2-3 seconds to get color back, you are dehydrated). good luck, most people feel better by week 10-12.
