Does anyone know of interesting things to do in Bucks county area and within a half hour to an hour drive from here. Looking for interesting playgrounds, parks, etc. something to keep my 14 month old twin girls busy.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

thanks everyone for their ideas, we recently checked out a playground in lower makefield, bucks county that we liked. There is a sand box and a large castle like structure that is pretty much the entire playground. There is also a pool with water slides, but I think you need a membership for that. I will keep looking for more and appreciate the suggestions.

HI--I hope you get answers, b/c I'd like to know too.

There's Giggleberry Fair in Lahaska/New Hope at Peddler's Village (google it, they have a website). It's not free, but they have games and a carousel. The indoor jungle gym is more for kids older than yours.

In Philly there's Please Touch Museum and Franklin Institute.

In New Hope, there's a historic train ride, but it's way overpriced. It's fun though.

There is a playground in Lambertville, near the Moustache restaurant and the canal. I can't remember the street--I think it's at Union and something. It's a small one, but cute and there's usually kids there.

Hope this helps? Maybe you could post back with the places you already know.

thanks, N.

Oxford Valley Mall has a playarea by the elevators/JCPenney.
My son has always enjoyed reading at Borders and the one there in Langhorne (by Target) is nice.

Not sure hope far Mercer County park in NJ is from you, but they have several good playgrounds.

I find a lot of things to do on princetonkids.org, they have a weekly email that goes out if you sign-up.

Giggleberry Fair in Peddler's Village has a merry-go-round and a tot play area. It's indoors, so might be a nice option for a rainy or cold day.

Central Park in Doylestown has an amazing castle playground, though it might be a little old for your girls right now.

The Doylestown library has Baby Story Times (you can check the website for dates). I think some of the other libraries in Bucks probably have similar things. They also run various programs for babies and children (for example, today they had a MusicWorks program) and in the summer they are having story time at some of the local parks. Check out the website to see what events they have and when they are.

There's probably more- I'll keep thinking.
