How Do I Teach My 5 Year Old Daughter to Be a Little More Assertive

Hi K.! Welcome to Tulsa! My family and I moved from PR to Tulsa a few years ago. With the moving and changes associated with it, it might be harder on your little girl!
Different children have diffrent personalities. Some are shy and some like my 5 years old, are way too friendly!
One of my daughter's friends used to be shy, still is but not as much. They play together and share just fine!
Thought that you might be interested in making a play date so the girls can share some time and us, just send me a personal message! Near our home there are parks and our home has a large fenced yard. I have an almost 2 boy, and my 5 years old girl, the other 2 are grown ladies, married already!

K., welcome to Tulsa!There are some positive dvd/video's avail. about making friends, not being shy, etc.We use to watch ones made by Steve Green.The kids loved it.It takes place in the park and kids having fun when they reach out.Prayer, encouragement, and being patient helps too! M.

My 6 yr old daughter has issues making friends. She has starting to come out of her shel ever since I put her in a martial arts program in owasso. She is excelling and I am seeing her open up in other areas (social and educational).
