Inquire with the high school math teacher or post a bulletin at your local church. There's a tutor thing on line... I believe it is called www.algebra.com.
Good luck.
My 10th grader is having some problems with Algebra II, I would like to find a tutor for weekly reviews. Does anyone know a person who could provide this service on an hourly basis? Former teachers or those with great algebra skills? Allen(preferred)/Plano/McKinney area. Thank you.

You already got great responses. Another avenue to check out would be to ask your school guidance counselor.
Many teachers tutor on the side for extra $$ outside the school.
Hi P.,
We live in Allen. My hubby is going to UTD now and is an accounting major, he's awesome at math. Let me ask him if he'd be interested in tutoring your son. He tudored at Collin County when he was there.
I am a former teacher in PISD...I tutor Chemistry and my husband, an engineer, tutors Physics and Algebra II. He is booked...I know several people that are incredibly capable. If you are interested in getting their contact information, feel free to email me personally. Don't stop looking for the right house...in this market, you should have quite a few to sift through!!!
Hi P., my son has a wonderful math tutor, a former high school math teacher. If you'd like her name, feel free to email me and I will be glad to share. Many of my friends who have older children have used her and recommended her. She is located near Legacy/Ohio in Plano and we are very pleased.
I have a friend that is a math tutor:

I'm not sure how far she drives, but I do know that she does in client home tutoring.
