Well the first step is admitting you have a problem.... :p
I have found I am on here when I am bored. Like at work as sad as that is. :( At home I just do things and I don't feel like getting on.
When I was recovering from surgery earlier this year, I got hooked on Mamapedia. Then it was a distraction from thinking about myself and cancer.
Now I do not have time to be checking it all the time! But I like seeing what is going on with everyone!
How do I break this addiction?
TIA

I am too! I switch back & forth between here & Cafemom, which is overwhelming. And at home, I add facebook to the mix, but I'm kinda glad they screwed up the news feeds, etc, because I tire of it more easily...
I have a lot of crafts I would like to do, so I'm going to MAKE myself stay away from computer for a portion of each evening -- or else! It helps when my daughter needs the Mac for ipod downloads.... hahaha
My husband tries half-heartedly to get me off the computer. I always tell him, well, I'm praying with people on facebook (10% of the time?!) and when I get on mamapedia most of the time now (he knows what all we discuss on here), he threatens to start up a papapedia site. He's funny -- NOT
you don't.... I do enjoy mamepedia too, and not sure if I would ever give it up... I guess why do you want to break this addictions, it's like having tea with the girls (or whatever drink you prefer)... I do sometimes get so busy that I will go days without looking, but it's in my favorites so easy to find and just look even if I don't give advice or asked for it...
Although I work from home, I have mamapedia open as one of my windows so I hop back and forth when I'm working. But Im not on at all in the evenings or the weekends. So basically it takes me all day Monday to get caught up going back thru all the posts to Friday afternoon! So I don't have any advice either. =)
Well, I can think of WORSE addictions, that's for sure!!
(Trouble is, I've got THEM too!!)
tehehe
:)
I just finished my e-mail, then bounce here, then bounce to Facebook. Help!

I would need a 12 step program to detach myself from this place! And well, im lazy so ill just stick around :)
You are not alone. My husband hears about something from "the mamas" everyday.
me too :( is there a cure?
I get on here too much mainly because i value others opinions to questions I rather not ask people I know LOL
Get a Facebook account and look up your old High School classmates. (I.E. search for "Arlington High") and the rest is history. Mamma who?
