Hair Color - Which Shampoo Doesn't Strip Color?

I just got blonde highlights done. I heard there are shampoos that strip the color more than others. Do you know which shampoo is best to use? (I'd prefer one from the store, the highlights were expensive enough,-) What is the ingredient I am supposed to avoid?
Thanks!

I can't think of the name of it, but go to Sally Beauty Supply. They have a good one. I worked for them while they were still developing it, and it is every bit as good as the expensive professional ones. Just ask them. They should be able to help.

It's hard to strip blonde, since blonde is actually taking pigment out of hair, not adding. My entire head is platimum blonde. My favorite shampoo/cond/ is Biolage, although I recently bought Nexxus Therapee and Humectress shamp.and cond. and it leaves my hair really shiny and soft too. There are tons on the shelves that say on the bottle "formulated for color treated hair", and there's a "Blonde" shampoo and cond. line by Bed Head as well.

Andrea,
I have used many of the different and expensive products sold at salons. I agree that the Dove products are some of the best sold in the stores. I refuse to pay $25 for a bottle of shampoo anymore!

The shampoos to NOT use:

any baby shampoo
Prell
Pert
Any clarifying, intense volume, or oil reducing shampoos

I use Dove Advanced Color Therapy for mine and I love their line of products.
