We have had decent luck with tennis shoes from Target -- not usually the $10-12 ones but the $15 - 20 ones. They usually last until my kids outgrow them.
Hello Moms,
I know there are plenty of stores where I can buy tennis shoes for my 8 year old boy; however, I am looking for tennis shoes that are good but not so expensive! (less than $50!) I do not care about brands, just good shoes. I'd appreciate any idea in the area of Ballwin or Chesterfield. Thanks and have a great days,Moms!

have you tried Shoe Carnival? I do not know if there's one in your area, but they are reasonable, and now they have buy one get one 1/2 price, so you could get 2 pair.
I tend to buy at Kohl's at the end of the season.
Places I've gotten good deals at for shoes. I have a 6 year old boy who's feet are growing like weeds. He's already in a size 6.. almost in a mens sizes.
Shoe Carnival
TJ Maxx or Marshalls- I just got my son a pair of New Balance in the clearance section they were only $20.00!
Kohls
I did get a the brand Champion at Target they were okay but really didn't hold up that well. Payless shoes are a waste of money in my opinion. I just don't think they hold up well. I have to go to the mens section and pay too much for a shoe that falls apart.
