So What Happened?

My daughter decided on a sandcastle cake. I found a receipe at family fun magazine and made the cake myself. I used buckets to put the chips in and I found a star and seashell bowls to put the sauce in. I made breaded chicken strips. She had fun. I will post a link to show you guys the cake and the party. She was very shy during the party, but I got a couple of good shots of her in the pool and eating ice cream. Not many photos of her though. Hope you guys like it. Thanks again for everyone's help. HI J.,
We went to a really cute party at Sassy Katz in Denton.
They did the girls hair, and nails and toes, and then they dressed up and had a fashion show on a runway with music. Then they had cake. I think there is something similiar over at the new Highland Village shops but I do not know the name of it. It was all girls. We also went to a great party at Heros in Denton. It si a private party place with bounces houses an arcade etc. Both boys and girls were there it was really fun. I belive both have websites, just doan internet search.
Good Luck!

Not sure what your daughter is into but my daughter is 7 and loves Hannah Montana and do do my nieces who are younger than her. They have all kinds of decor at Party city and Walmart. Since its in June what about a park party under a pavilion. I took my daughter to a party at Main event, they played laser tag and bowled. The kids seem to really enjoy bowling.. Good Luck~

What about a tea party? You could do a luau, pool party, barbie fairytopia party, dora the explorer party (go on an adventure to find something), strawberry shortcake. I asked my almost 5 year old for her opinion so that's why this is a little bit random.:-} you can always google girl birthday party ideas. i'm sure there's alot out there. i also do cakes if you need one. www.freewebs.com/sweettemptationbakery just let me know!! thanks, M.

For my daughter's 6th birthday we had a tea party. All of the girls loved it. We had them dress up like princesses and then I had some teenaged family members come and do their hair and make-up. After that was done, we took pictures and then had a tea party. I had sandwiches, fruit, "tea" (juice), and cupcakes. What made it even more special was the fact that we let them use a real china tea set. The mom's & teenagers that I had help all wanted to have a tea party for them. :) A year later my daughter still talks about her party and how it was her favorite yet.

Not sure where you live, but we just had an awesome party for our daughter - we used Nicole with Royal Kids and had an Imagine Tomorrow computer party. It was 2 hours of fun! We split the group in half - we did our own games with the half we had, while the other half went on a birthday adventure on the computers.....then we switched. Nicole also did the goodie bags with a pencil, tattoo, etc. as wella s a $25 gift certificate and brochure for the parents which was great b/c she holds classes and has summer classes coming up.

Here is her info:

I agree that the Sassy Katz party in Denton is well worth the money! (Well, it should be cheaper, but still!) :) The place moved, and it is now near Blockbuster and Applebe's. My daughter wanted to have a Luau last year, but we changed it at the last minute. Still, there are tons of cute things to order from Oriental Trading if you went with it, including outdoor games, grass skirts, etc. Some dancing schools offer ballet parties (like Turning Pointe in Bartonville- near Lantana). Pizza PJ parties were always a hit when I was a kid.

What about doing like a french theme, or a 50's theme with the poodle skirts and stuff. Or even a wild animal theme or like a diva/dance/dress up theme. You could let all of the girls dress up and you could rent a limo that could come pick them up abd drive them around for a while. I hope this helps!

Hello J.,

Depending on how much you want to spend, she would enjoy Libby Lu. They play dress up and put on make-up and a ponytail hairpiece. I have a 5yrs old and she enjoyed it.

Hi J.,
I have 2 girls and 2 boys and we have had many parties, my oldest daughter is 12 almost 13, and one year we did a jungle theme, it was so much fun, I rented a bounce house and put all the jungle stuffed animals around the house and outside. We hired a lady that brings animals to show the children. There's also the critterman that does the same thing. You can get inexpensive flip flops from hobby lobby and make jungle theme flip flops by getting jungle print bandanas and cutting them in strips and the girls can tie them on. We did that for a swimming hawaiian themed party, we hired a hula girl to teach the girls how to hula when my daughter turned 10. That was so much fun!! They did the limbo too.
The girls can come dressed in their zebra and cheetah print outfits. I love that age it's so much fun!!
I did a western theme for my twin boys, but that could be done for girls as well, they could come in their cowgirl gear.
We found someone in the Dallas Child magazine who could bring a pony, and other farm animals for a petting zoo, (don't forget the hand sanitizer!!!) That was a blast, the children got to ride the pony and pet the animals. For the thanks for coming gift, I got all the kids a cowboy hat and bandanas and a little stuffed horse from oriental trading company. They have tons of stuff and ideas. I'm planning my twins Pirate party now. I hope some of these help.
Good Luck and have fun.!!
