M.,
WinKids in Flower Mound is great for that age. Their website is http://www.winkids.net/. I have a three yr old boy who has always been very active, and WinKids was perfect for him.
Take care,

Hi Moms,
I'm interested in signing up my 18 month old boy for a new weekly activity (something appropriate for his age). Up until now, we've gone to the The Little Gym and we would like to explore something new this fall. We live in Keller, TX but we wouldn't be opposed to driving to surrounding cities if needed for some fun.
If you have any experience in some activities you've shared with your little one we would love to know about it. My little boy is very active and "on-the-go" so we need something very stimulating...Thanks a lot!

Hi M.,
We attend Gymboree on Southlake Blvd (close to 114). My son loves it there.

Emler swim school, fun it wears them out and it is something fun to do during the week and he learns how to swim, it is the best place to take them by the way I have been about everywhere and always go back to Emler, they aremoving but right now they are on HWY 26, i live in southlake/keller and it is very close by.
ASI Gymnastics offers more variety then the Little Gym, with the little ones each week they learn different things, and the class activities change every week so that they don't get bored. My daughter has been going to the one on 377 since it opened just over 2 years ago and we LOVE it. They can also progress from tots to teens there.
There's also Soccer Tots that starts at 18 months and is more learning and games then actual soccer for the littler ones. We plan to start my son in that as soon as we get moved next year. It's offered at different places/times throughout the metroplex. I believe in Keller it's at the Point but don't remember for sure.
I just put my daughter in a parent/child gym class at Win-Kids in Flower Mound. I am sure it is very similar to Little Gym.
I have heard (and plan to start) a class at Kindermusik. I have heard great things about the Korner Kottage (www.thekornerkottage.com) classes.
Other than that, I can only think of swimming classes. Although, I heard they start team soccer at 18 months. Seems young.
I like Gymboree aposed to The Little Gym. It is more colorful and they change the activites every two weeks. My DD started it at 22 Months and LOVES it. They play with bubbles, parachute, imagination play, climbing/sliding/jumping and many more things. They also provide Art and Music classes.
Your get every so often Gymbo Bucks to save money at Gymboree Clothing store...$25 off a $50 puchase. every month a Gymboree appriciation gift. 3 times a week you can go in for Open Play (for gymboree members).
You can sign up for a Free class to get the feel of the place. They are located in Southlake on Southlake Blvd.
Southlake just opened the Lego education center (the first one in the United States) and they start very young with the BIG blocks. It's kind of pricey but would stimulate that side of the brain which is supposed to be great for math, language and music!
Also, there is Gymboree play & music in Southlake. Or I know Keller Pointe has a music and me program. check there!
We loved our swimming classes at Keller Point. I started my son there at 9 months old and this summer, at 2 years old, was his forth class. We have had a different instructor every time. And some are better than others, but we have always enjoyed the class and been happy. The cost is $55 for resident, non-members.
We also had a terrific time at the Roanoke Rec Center (which isn't terribly far from Keller) in a mom and me gymnastics class. It may be similar to what you did at the Little Gym. The instructor is WONDERFUL. She has been teaching preschool gymnastics for twenty years and her assistant is a preschool teacher. They were able to incorporate learning colors, counting and language arts into their program. We took two classes there and every day it was something different. It was also very affordable. I think we paid $45 for non member, non resident fees.
Have fun!
