It could be gas. I would get it every now and then and it would feel like my daughter was still kicking me.

silly question - are you nursing and have you had your period? A woman at daycare kept thinking that so her husband finally went out and he bought a home pregnancy test and told her to take it. Positive. She went to dr and she was 5 months pregnant! Her boys are 1 year and 12 days apart! Not to worry you but just thought if you haven't had a period you might want to check.

I get that too. My DD is 11 months, and I still feel it once in a while. My doctor explained to me that it's usually gas... You are just more sensitive to it now because 1. you were so tuned to feeling baby kicks for so long that your body acnowledges the sensation, which it used to ignore and 2. your stomach muscles aren't as strong and tight as they used to be, so they are more 'pliable' and the gas bubbles seem to have more force in comparison.

Yeah, I agree with Amama A., it could be gas. I remember with my daughter (my first baby) that I was so excited because I thought I felt her kicking. Then I asked my doctor and she said it was probably too early to feel her kicking and it was probably gas. I was so disappointed!! Anyway, so that could be what it is, and it feels like baby kicking because you are still familiar with that feeling.

It's been almost 5 years since my younger son was born, but every so often, I can feel what seems like baby kicks. I know I'm not pregnant; in fact, some of the times when it's happened has been when I was on my period! But it's transient -- I feel it one day and then not for two weeks or two months, and then I feel it a couple of days but not for another week. It's definitely not regular kicks like you'd feel if you were pregnant.

Most likely, it's gas for you; but if it's regular, you may want to get a cheap pregnancy test, just to put your mind at ease. There's no way a test would come back negative if you were really far enough along to feel the baby. No stinkin' way.

could be gas or a small muscle spasm, like an eye twitch.

Very normal. It can be a few years and you still feel "kicks." You know what the kicks felt like so when you get a little gas bubble or something then you associate it with the feeling you had when the baby was kicking.

Maybe you are just missing the kicks that remind you you have a baby in your tummy.
