T.S.
Liquid Fabric Softener works for us! We play salon and use the fabric softener as the shampoo, but don't rinse it out. Then while the hair is wet, we brush the hair with the plastic brush that came with the doll. Have fun!
We have a doll that the hair is a mess how do you untangle plastic doll hair?

you can wash it and use conditioner, or try to use detangler.
you can also try detangling spray or cosmetic brush cleaner.
I just was working on that project. Like Julie P., I used a wire brush, cold water in a spray bottle, and a lot of patience. You can't hurry the job.
Good question, I honestly thought of washing it like real hair and placing conditioner in- My daughter has a couple dolls going through the same mess!
A lady working at the American Girl store's "salon" told me to spray it with lots of water and use a wire brush.
You can use conditioner baby oil or lotion
When you rinse the hair after your done smooth is dry
I love a good tangled up mess!
Undoing chains, string, plastic hair, what-not...I guess I love the challenge. Lol.
My advice...get a decent comb and start from the bottom and work your way up in little sections. It will probably take a while to get through it all...but slow and steady wins the...beautiful hair. ;)
I think if you try and put product in it, it will just become a bigger mess.
Maybe if it is a really high quality wig that would help but basic run of the mill Barbie type hair-could be a disaster.
HTH!
