Apparently this is a fairly common thing to see in pregnancy, but if you are the one seeing, it can make you a nervous Nelly. I bled or spotted with my daughter who is now 10. It was the day before Christmas Eve, and the nurse at my OB office got me an ultrasound appointment on Christmas Eve so I would not have to suffer through Christmas not knowing what was happening with my baby. I was only 6 or 8 weeks along at the time, but I remember being so scared that my little gift from the Lord had something wrong with him or her (didn't know it would be a her at the time). I just know the main thing I did was trust God to take care of me and my little one no matter what the outcome. I knew that we would be okay. Your faith is the main thing that will get you through this right now. Trust the Lord and know that He is able to sustain you. Also, spend lots of time resting. Don't be afraid to call on your church family to help you with taking care of your responsibilities at church. Remember the passage of scripture that talks about how when one member suffers, they all suffer. Your church family is feeling your pain now as well and wants to help you, whether it's the older lady who would enjoy taking your child out for ice cream or to the park, or the retired minister in the community who would love a chance to help out with the children's ministry while you are on the mend. Seek the Lord for the help you need, and you are certain to find it! I just prayed for your strength and empowerment by the Holy Spirit to allow your body to mend quickly and for you to receive the rest that you need right now. May the Lord give you peace of mind and may your ministry grow as a result of what you are going through right now. Keep the faith, sister, and know that our God reigns!
