I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY JVC Everio 30GB Hard Drive 2.7" LCD 35X Optical Zoom Camcorder. It is wonderful. You don't have to buy any tapes or discs because it has its own harddrive. It takes great video and snap shots! It is an all in one camcorder / digital camera.

I have an Kodak Easy Share and an Olympus and love both of them. My oldest has a Poloroid and loves it. The youngest has an Easy Share and said if she ever has to get a new one it will be another Easy Share. All three of these are easy to use and take great pictures. If you watch you can get a camera for a really great price. I suggest watching the Staples and Office Depot ads. Also Walmart will honor any ad. I know if you go to Kodaks web site you can get coupons for cameras. I got an email the other day offering 50% off any camera over $100.00. Hope this helps.

We are really happy with our Canon PowerShot SD600 Digital ELPH - it's small & lightweight so you can stick it in your pocket or purse without too much bulk. It zooms nicely, & has tons of features such as B&W photos, or B&W with a highlight color (e.g., something red that you want to stand out in your picture), and also takes video. The pictures come out beautifully. Simple enough for the kids to use, even.

I have a Canon Powershot SD750 and love it. It takes great pics, is about 2x4x1/2" big, fits in my purse or back pocket easily and is just an all around great camera. We had a problem with the lens (it got stuck half way open) and sent it back (still under warranty) and they fixed it up and sent it back to us with no problems. I would buy the same one again if something happened to this one.

I have had a Kodak Easyshare for almost 2 years. pictures and video. compact but not too small, easy to use, and its pretty durable when my daughter gets a hold of it.

The Canon SD400 is the best camera. I have recommended it to everyone I know and they have recommended it to everyone they know. Quick pictures, easy to use, not really expensive for what you get. There may be newer models now as the one I have is a couple of years old but this series is great.

My mother-in-law just bought us a Canon Powershot Elph. So far I really like it. Its small and takes nice photos. The big thing is that it doesn't have a delay. My Samsung had a couple second delay before taking the photo and that always drove me nuts because my son would always stop whatever cute thing he was doing by then! I really like this Canon so far.

I love my Olympus Stylus 770SW. It is shock proof and waterproof, takes great photo and video. The best part is the shock proof that way if my 2 year old runs off with it and drops it - no problem. It can sustain a five foot fall, freezing temps and water. I think it was originially designed for avid extreme sport enthusiasts but it is really much better suited for moms!
