My 2 year old daughter attends Bethany Methodist Weekday School at Bethany United Methodist Church at 3707 Linkwood in Houston (near the Medical Center). We absolutely love it! She attends part-time (10 hours per week), but they also offer full-time care. I recommend it very highly.
My two-year-old has attended two schools in the Galleria area. She began at Memorial Lutheran June of last year, but she was visibly unhappy after she changed classes in September. In November, we moved her to Bellaire Presbyterian (now ChristChurch), and she is thrilled. Not only does she love her teachers, but she actually asks to go to school!
It depends on where you live and what you want for your sweet child. I am a certified Montessori teacher. And I can tell you that there are some schools out there that I would not send my child to. Look around and listen to what goes on in the school. Look at the teachers. See if they are happy where they are or that they are just there getting a pay check and not really enjoying what they are doing. If they are just there doing a job and not really caring for the children. Then don't put your child in there. I can tell you that there are good places and then there are some that look nice on the out side and the director or owner is giving you a long an drawen out talk about the place. Go back to the school several times. At different times of the day. And then you will know if you want that place. I do hope that this will help you out. And good luck in your looking. Miss B.
My children have gone to Brentwood Childrens Academy since they weren infants and I adore the school. (My children are now 7 and 5) They are a private family owned company and they have 3 different locations in the NW Houston area. They teach a christian based curriculum and my children have thrived.
I used to work at a Primrose school, and now I am needing a daycare for my baby. Based off of this I would have to say that there hasn't been a daycare that I have seen to this day that is better than Primrose. They are very clean and they run things very tightly so there is not much room for error for the teachers. The only catch with this daycare is that they are pretty expensive. The primrose I used to work at was about $200.00 for a 2 yr. old (getting cheaper the older they get). But the prices varey by location so you would have to talk to the Director at the Primrose near you.
I'd look into the Waldorf School if I were you. Its wonderful. They have a website, just google it.
Try Robindell Private school. my Son is 3 and has been going since 7 months.
