I really like Carpe Diem and Primrose as well. But I just had one problem with their internet webcams. I am not comfortable with it being on the internet and was wondering if anybody has heard of options regarding that?
Thanks a ton everybody !!!

Carpe Diem is the best one. Hands down. I thought Primrose and Creme had their good points, but CD was just much more interested in the kids than all the too-do in the center. I know CD's administrators very well and my kids went there for 4 yrs.
I second TJ about Primrose! My 10 month old is there and I have never been happier! He loves going to school each day and I am always greeted by happy, smiling teachers! You can't go wrong with Primrose! Good Luck!
my son attends West Allen Primrose. We love it and can't say enough great things about it. The staff is awesome. Everyone knows all the kids. I feel safe leaving my child there. I know he's in great hands. Bethany Liles the director is wonderful. I highly recommend Primrose.
Look into Kids R Kids in west allen also. (Alma & exchange). It's only been open about 6 months, the place is beautiful, clean and the staff is so loving and caring. I've had my children in a couple of other centers prior to this one and this is by far the best. I was going to send my son to Primrose a few years ago and had him registered but really did not feel good about the director. I didn't get a "warm and fuzzy" feeling from her so I didn't end up going there. My 15 month old daughter now is at KRK and we love it. www.kidsrkidsallen.com
My daughter goes to CarpeDiem Frisco and we love it. We compared Creme de la Creme, Primrose and CarpeDiem and went with CarpeDiem Frisco. I feel like she has learned so much and would definitely give credit to CarpeDiem teachers and their curriculum.
Hi Nithya! My daughter currently goes to the Carpe Diem in Richardson and I know some of the teachers from Richardson have relocated to the new Allen school. Talking to other parents or newbies to schools, I know this is always a stressful experience! Carpe Diem has all assets going for new schools: web cam, high-tech security, rich curriculum that includes music, art, and language development. But I guess what really impresses me with Carpe Diem is the genuine affection ALL the teachers have for the children! My daughter is greeted by all teachers (not just those in her class) and she runs to any of them and gives AND receives kisses and hugs all day. It's amazing when I talk about these little things to other parents - and realize that some teachers in other schools don't even know the children's names! That's awful.
I hope this helps - please let me know if you have any questions.

Nithya:
Hi- I usually do not respond to questions but had to share with you one more school- Watters Montessori on Bossy Boots Lane. It is open year round and if you are looking for loving, caring teachers this is the place. After looking into several in the McKinney/Allen area we settled with this school and could not be happier. My daughter looks forward to going to school everyday and the extra-curricular activities are wonderful. My daughter has had the same teachers for the last year with ZERO turnover which is very rare to see. She has grown by leaps and bounds. The parents I know can't say enough good things about the school. I have looked at Crem and Primrose- loved the look but the small school size is what drew me to Watters. Just a thought. Good Luck - I know that this is a big decision. Watters is not like your typical daycare. Once you visit you will see why.
Nithya,
Carpe Diem is really your best choice. We also looked at Creme but it really seems that they charge a lot of money for the same quality of teachers and have the same child-to-student ratio as regular daycares, like Primrose. At Carpe Diem, they had degreed teachers and a much lower child-to-student ratio, so that really made sense to us. I also visited the Carpe Diem school in Frisco and it was great.
Best of luck to you and yours!!
My 2 1/2 year old goes to Primrose of West Allen and we just absolutely love it. He's been going there since he was about 7 months old and every one of his "teachers" have been fabulous and super caring.
Good luck making a decision!
Nithya,
I sent my daughter to Carpe Diem - Richardson and absolutely LOVED IT! The owner of the school built it for her kids because she was not pleased with what she saw in the market. It is a family environment and we cried when we had to leave for elementary school. They do a great job loving and nurturing your child. I know the Allen school is new but I know people that have gone to the Frisco school and were pleased with that location as well. Ashlee that owns the school has VERY high standards and will not compromise in the Allen location. I understand Primrose schools are franchises so you want to make sure to get a recommendation from a person that has actually has experience with that particular location.
You can't go wrong with Carpe Diem.
Good luck
Nithya,
Well I can share my personal experience with you, which was great for my family. I did a lot of searching when my children were little and I found Primrose School of Forest Creek. My children have been very happy there and learned so much. The management team and teachers are all great. The educational programs are wonderful and balanced offering life skills, character development, as well as spanish, sign language, math, language and a phonics based reading program. I would give them a call and go check them out for your self.
Good Luck in Your search.
Hi Nithya -
My son was enrolled at Carpe Diem Frisco for almost 2 years. The Allen school opened this month and I'm sure it will be just as wonderful. My son is entering 1st grade, but earlier in the summer he asked me to take him to visit his Carpe Diem teachers who he just adored. Every morning they would greet him with a hug and they made learning fun and exciting. He loved going to school every day - a sharp contrast to the preschool he was previously enrolled in.
Carpe Diem is one of the few schools that provides daily Spanish and computer classes, as well as weekly drama classes. They are big proponents of hands-on learning, so they do a lot of fun projects. I also loved their daily reporting, so you know every day what your child is learning. And, because they have 2 cameras in every classroom, you can actually log-in from work to see how your child is doing.
At Carpe Diem, we didn't experience the teacher turnover we experienced at the other preschool. Because all the classes have glass walls, take the time to observe how the teachers are interacting with children. The love, care, attention and level of education will become obvious.
Creme de la crem is amazing !! They really not only empoly the best, most are college or grads of those becoming teachers or some related field of childrens well being. From my experience they are above average and live up too thier name.
