Mary Kay targeted Eye revitalizer! I do not have dark circles, but my sis does and this has been a life saver for her. I have samples if you'd like to try it! Also, a few have mentioned this, but yes a yellow concealer does help.

Other than sleep, hydration, a good under eye moisturizer,unfortunately this pretty much boils down to skin type/color and genetics. I use oil of olay pro rx one of the anti aging kits-they really work well! Try a yellow shade of under eye concealer in the daytime,it evens out the blue tones of the circles without looking cakey and obvious

Brooke is right. Don't go too light on the yellow concealer, putting a light color on something draws attention to it. A couple of shades, one that matches your skin tone, and one that is darker (put on any puffy spots) will help too.

I use Enfuselle Eye Treatment. The other thing is you may be deficient in vitamin C and how are you sleeping at night? Are you getting at least 7 hours of sleep each night? All will help with those dark circles and the Eye Treatment will definitely help with the wrinkles.

It's genetic, unless you're not getting enough sleep or you're allergic to some kind of food. Avon & others have products that help a little, but concealer or a little extra makeup is probably always going to be needed.

Hi Cherie,

If you would like to try a sample of Arbonne's anti-aging skincare line (in particular the eye cream), let me know and I will send a sample in the mail to you. Arbonne's eye cream has specific ingredients including Algae extract, marine lavender etc.. to combat dark circles and puffiness. I just laugh that it has been working on overdrive since I had kids 5 yrs ago :) No obligation to trying a sample whatsoever. If you are interested, drop me a line and we can go from there. Have a great day! Talk to you soon! *C.

Yep. Don't be fooled into products that claim to take them away. Generally, the skin under your eyes is one of the thinnest and most sensitive on your body. Most of what you see as discoloration is completely related to genetics and not sleep deprivation, etc.

If possible, go to a local department store, see what some of the higher-end cosmetic lines recommend, purchase one if it's in the budget or take their free advice and purchase a product at a less expensive store on your own.

Several suggestions that work for me:
1. I try to make sure I sleep on my back the last part of the sleep routine so that all the puffiness and lines smooth out before I get up.....gravity takes effect.
2. My makeup routine is a night-time moisturizer, let it dry, a ceramide primer to fill in lines, with a tinted moisturizer on top (I have dry skin).....no foundation, but Bare Escentuals A Little Sun on top. Sometimes if I have huge dark circles I'll put on a concealer (Bisque from Bare Escentuals), but not usually.

Dark circles can be caused by a number of things- largest possibility is genetics, although allergies and prolonged periods of inadequate rest can take their toll too.

Not sure what your skin tone is like- but I really like MAC concealer, and for a mass retailer- Neutragena has good coverage.

Depending on the severity of it- you may want to consult a make-up counter woman who could direct you to a good cover-up.

Lines- I use primrose oil and lightly dab it under my eye with my middle finger.

First of all, be sure that you are completing the 5 essential steps to healthier skin every day: cleanse, exfoliate, tone, protect & moisturize;
For the eyes, use products created for that area - the best I have found is the Firming Eye Cream by Mary Kay - it helps with age fighting and dark circles - it's like an instant eye lift. Worth every penny!

Mary Kay has an awesome TimeWise Targeted eye-revitalizer that is just for dark circles, puffiness and fine lines. Add that with your yellow concealer and you are good to go.
