Does anyone have comcast for their internet connection,if so please share your experiences. I am thinking of leaving dial-up AOL and going to high speed internet with comcast.

Love it! It's quick and dependable. My husband works in a computer dept of a large company and his co-workers all have Comcast internet service.
Hey! We had dial-up for the first years of our "internet years." After we switched from dial-up to cable, we'll NEVER go back. When we first switched to cable from dial-up, the service changed hands/names a few times until it remained at the "comcast" name. We LOVED it! Now, we have DSL, which in all reality, isn't a whole lot slower than cable. Actually, for as much as we use it, we didn't notice any difference. I'm sure there are those that would disagree with me, but after you get to such a "speed," adding or subtracting a bit of that "speed" really doesn't make a lot of difference to the normal Joe. Go for it - you'll kick yourself for all the time you've wasted with dial-up! :)
M. COMCAST IS THE FASTEST YOU WILL EVER GET.. I HAVE IT FOR 3 YRS NOW AND WILL NEVER CHANGE UNLESS SOMEONE ELSE COMES UP WITH 6.0 MBP .. SO ITS GOOD FOR DOWNLOADING AND SURFING THE WEB... NOT EVEN DIALUP HIGH SPEED IS AS FAST AS COMCAST..ENJOY
Yes we have Comcast Cable. We live in Glenview. We got it when we moved here from the East Coast about a year ago and I absolutely love it. Very minimal problems and the connection is great. We have a wireless cable connection box set up in our basement and it is wonderful since I carry my laptop anywhere around the house and use the internet. Let me know if you need further information.

If you are going to use your computer for work you need cable internet. You will be amazed with how fast it is. I also have comcast. Our package is internet and cable with On Damand, there are a ton a kid shows and you can watch them as many times you want. We really like it but it can cost a lot. They try to do a deal were its a small price in the begain and they slowly raise it after three months. So watch out. We have had some good and bad experiences with them. They have always corrected there mistake. Even if it did take forever to get ahold of someone, who know what they were talking about. I don't know if I helped but as far as I know ComCast is one of the good ones. SAHM S.

I like it. Plus I dont have to have a phone line but we do have a phone thru the internet and it works out great.

I haven't had AOL for a few years now but when I had it, I hated it. We have Comcast now and it is very good.

We have had comcast for several years and we love it. It is a little pricey...like $60 a month for just the internet, but if you get some of their other services you get a better deal. My dad is getting cable, internet and phone for a good price. It is so worth it to me. Once you go cable you never want to go back. If you divide the price out it only ends up being like $2 a day. And it is worth it. You may want to see if SBC Yahoo is available in you area. It is not as fast as Comcast but alot faster then dial up. Good Luck!

I have Comcast cable and have been very happy with it. Its a huge difference from dial-up so its definately worth the estra money. I've had no problems with the service.
I used to have Comcast. I spent a lot of time calling Customer Service for erratic complications. I currently have SBC and I dont have a problem with the speed and service.
I'd definitely leave dial-up... once you navigate the internet on broadband/cable/high speed/ etc., you get to find so many more things online. IMO.
