Can You Recommend a Hair Stylist in Troy?

Can anyone recommend a hair stylist in Troy? Nothing terribly expensive or fancy, but somewhere you can make an appointment. I tried to cut my own bangs and it's a total disaster...I need help! It looks awful and we're getting family pictures taken next week. I need someone who can help me try and fix them by Saturday.

What can I do next?

David & Dillon @ David Houston Salon on 23 Mile Rd & Schoenherr. Newer salon, very clean, up to date & the guys are so nice. It's great going there & something you may want to think about-1st haircut with Dillon is free!!!!!!

I really like JR's for Hair. It is on Rochester Road.

They also do kids cuts. It is very family friendly. I like it cause they have decent prices and when I go in there I don't feel like I need to be a styling hot babe with a tatoo and body glitter on my half clothed body. They are down to earth people who do hair.

Hi J.,

I have been going to Chuck at Macy's in Oakland Mall for years. He does a great job and is so fun to talk to! The prices there are very good too! Good luck!

I have seen Kate and a few stylists at the Tortoise & Hair on Rochester (sorry, can't recall the other cross street).

I have not had a bad experience there, but the pricing is much better than what I paid at Macy's (or Hudsons/ Marshall Fields) Salon. They will fix it too, if you are not happy. (or they did for my friend that referred me there and was not happy with her bangs.)

Melissa at Premier Salon (Macy's in Somerset) - she does magic with hair. Might be more than you want to spend. But amazing at fixes. *wink*

LOVE my stylist and have been seeing him for years. He can fix anything. Salon Jarnac at Square Lake & Rochester Road, ###-###-####. Ask for Charles. He generally works Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday and he always finds a way to squeeze me in, even when I call at the last minute.

Good luck! L.

I go to Martin at Bianchi's salon, big Beaver and john R (next to the new Buffalo Wild Wings). Have been with him for 8 years, he is the best!

My stylist is not in Troy, but I go to Salon Indigo on 15 Mile Rd and Utica. Carole is the best. When my daughter dyed her hair orange and then dyed it again trying to fix it, Carole made her look normal again. Sometimes that's all we really want, ya know? :-)
