Many friends belong to Colonial Baptist in Cary at Walnut and Tryon (Crossroads area) and are very happy there. Although I do not belong to the Colonial Community,I attend an excerise class there and have been pleased with the people I have met. It's at least worth checking out.

I'm not sure about churches in Cary, but we attend a church close by in Apex. It's Salem Baptist Church. The website is http://www.salem-bc.org/templates/System/default.asp?id=3...
There is a very active children's program and we have felt very welcome there since we've been attending.

I am not sure what part of Cary you are in or if you are interested in traveling to Raleigh for church. We have several members that live in Raleigh. We are members of Hayes Barton Baptist. You can go to the church website for directions and such (www.hbbc.net). We would love to have you give our church a try.

I completely agree with all the recommendations for Colonial Baptist Church on the corner of Tryon Rd. and Walnut St. We have been attending Colonial for about 4 yrs now. It is a very biblically sound church. It offers many classes/activities for all ages and Pastor Stephen Davey is a wonderful teacher.

Try Potter's Hand Baptist Church, Salem Baptist, First Baptist or Hope which is four square and not Baptist but is an excellent church for all ages in terms of teaching, support and community.

Again, welcome to the area. My husband, 3 children, and I moved here almost one year ago and are truly enjoying it.
Try Sovereign Grace Church in Apex. We have lots of Cary folk. It's not titled Baptist, but I come from a Baptist background and it's definitely baptistic in doctrine, but more importantly Biblical. God had graced these folks with warmth and friendliness and a desire to serve Him. There are many young children.

My husband and I looked at a lot of churches when we arrived here 4.5 years ago. We have been attending Colonial Baptist on the corner of Tryon and Holly Springs Road (Walnut) for about 2 years now and really like it. www.colonial.org

It is a huge church, which we were not used to, but it offers so much to the community and Pastor Davey offers such sound biblical teaching.

I currently go to MOPS there (Mothers of Preschoolers) and our daughter will start preschool there next fall. The childcare/sunday school is amazing as well.

My husband travels a lot, so we haven't started a Bible study, but again, so many are offered.

Hey J.! Welcome to Cary! I have a great Baptist Church for you! Colonial Baptist Church! It is located at the intersection of TRYON/WALNUT ST./HOLLY SPRINGS RD. It is a large church, but has fabulous teaching. The minister is said to be the BEST Expository Teacher on the east coast.
