We love our church! The Family Church in Sugar Hill. www.fbsh.org. I hope you check it out!
My family and I are moving to Dacula, Suwannee, Buford area and want to find a church family. We are believers and wanted to get plugged in with a non denominational Christian Bible Church. Can any of you recommend a church in this area that we could go check out or perhaps check out their website? Do any of you do bible studies in your home or have a homegroup that you meet with from your church? Thanks for your help!

Welcome to the area!! I love our church-- maybe you would like to check it out. It's called Destiny Church and it's on Pucketts Mill Rd. just off of Hamilton Mill and I-85. Their website is www.4yourdestiny.org to get some more information. The band plays contemporary music and is really good. It really is a family. I have found that in a lot of churches they welcome you when you first come but then you feel a bit like an outsider. I have never felt this way here. We have small group studies during the year but not during summers when alot of people travel. They have social outings for couples-- under 35, 35-49 and older so you can meet and get to know people in a more personal setting (this happens during the summer as well).
They have a wonderful kids ministry! Both of your boys would be in the Popups class!I help teach in this class. The messages make you think and hits home every week and we really love it. I hope you check us out. R.

Hi D.,
Try 12Stone Church off of hwy 20. The church has been around for some time, but they just moved to this new campus. It is a big church with contemporary style worship and they are very creative in their scripture teaching. I especially enjoy the worship. They have a very talented band/group of singers. I don't remember which church group they are affliated with, but similar to a contemporary baptist. I would say that the average age group attending is between the ages of 30 and 50. Lots of young families. They offer a 9:00 and 11:00 service. I really love the church. The pastor is in his 40s and is very funny. I would like to invite your family for Mother's day. I believe the sermon will be on parenting...I think. I have a 4 year old boy and a 2 year old girl and we go to the 11:00 service. The sunday school is great. I could go on and on. I hope you decide to come by for a visit. Good luck with your search. I know it can be difficult searching for a church that fits your style.
Check out their website at www.12stone.com

HI! I also love North Point community church. We tried a new church that is closer to us that is very similar to that one. It is called 12 stone. It's on buford drive /20 near Russell road. Our kids love it. I miss North Point but we have 4 children and needed a church close to home (Lawerencville)
Hi D.,
We live in Dacula and attend the Atlanta Rd Church of Christ in Gainesville, but there is a wonderful church here in Dacula called New Hope Church of Christ. It is non=denominational and follows the Bible. I am a grandma but I homeschool my grandaughter and babysit her brother. We would be happy to get together with you and study the Bible.
HOpe you have a good move, B. H.
My church is currently located in the Norcross/Lilburn area, but we have a lot of members who are in the area from Suwanee to deep Lawerenceville. I personally stay in Tucker, but we do have bible study groups as well as on one on study sessions. The church is Central Gwinnett Ministry of the Atlanta Church of Christ. It is non-denominational and biblically based. I can set up to meet with you on a Saturday morning either at your house or at a coffee shop somewhere in the middle...

I have been attending Browns Bridge and North Point Community Churches since 2001.
We do have small groups that meet in homes and several other ministries, info is on the site.
Great bible teaching for the young ones while you are in "big church". They take good care of the kids and it is very safe & secure.
It is a 100% bible teaching church. Nothing added, nothing removed. The worship is a more modern style which suits me just fine since that is what I was looking for.
Andy Stanley is the senior pastor.
There's The Journey Church on Buford Hwy. The website is www.thejourneytoforever.com. We have been with this church since about when it started. It's a younger church with the kind of contemporary music (which we love). They have a coffee bar and serves anything you can think of for free, and there's also donuts every morning. There's a nursery and childrens ministries. The pastor Allen is hilarious and real down to earth, personable and will make you feel right at home. Everybody's just so friendly.
