My 9 1/2 year now usues the three in one cause he needs conditioner in his hair. I use the suave for kids. It's tears free too. It just depends on what you want. It's much easyer to put it on his head and him work it down his body.
Since my son was born we have been using the Johnson & Johnson 2-in-1 body wash/shampoo product that washes it all. I got to thinking the other day....when do I switch to using a separate shampoo and body soap or does it matter at all?
Thanks Mammas, I'm always thinking of random questions and thankful for this site!

Hello, There are multiple carcinogens (dioxane, formaldehyde and nitrosamine) in J&J baby products ... you may want to google it for more info. Dr. Bronner makes an all-natural peppermint body soap that we've used forever; we get the best price at Trader Joe's, but Target also carries it. We've also used California Baby shampoos and they are rated very low on toxicity. :)
Most baby soaps are made for hair and body. I prefer using more natural products on my daughter even now that she is 5.
California Baby, Method Products and Earths Best are some that I like to use.
It probably depends on how much hair your baby has. I used the same 2in1 wash with my son until he was about 18 months. At that time his hair was getting a little thicker.
I never liked the J&J stuff...especially since it cause ME to have eczema on my hands for the first time in my life. My hands would get BEET RED when I used it. I always preferred the Aveeno line..... Not sure how old your son is, but you can really sue any shampoo once he's old enough that the "tear free" isn't essential. I liked Suave Kids or Loreal Kids as well.
We still use the Aveno stuff for DD's hair and body, but use Dove for conditioner for her curls. If you need gentle, try cetaphil.
I have always used dove for soap, and then a shampoo for hair.
I always used soap for body and shampoo.
My little one had really bad eczema on her cheeks, legs and arms, so I had to use special soap for her body and only wash her hair once or twice a week.
My older one born with so much hair, she was 3 months and I already could make pony tail, so I needed not only shampoo but conditioner for her.
