I'm hosting a baby shower for my sister, who's expecting her first child in a few months and I'd like to have a REALLY NICE CAKE made for her.
I live in Highland Village, and I was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations of cake shops in in/near the area.

Candy Haven in Denton is wonderful. You see them on the web at candyhaven.com I think. They have many different flavors and everyone out here in Denton uses them for all occastions.
Central Market does a really nice job on cakes! They can do pretty much anything you want them to.

Delicious Cakes in Lewisville does a wonderful job. They have done birthday and shower cakes for me. They can do anything you want and will help you with ideas. They are located at Main and Valley in a shopping center a few doors down from Abundent Life Health food store.

I live in Highland Village as well. I use the Sams Club store on 1171. I've had them make 3 baby shower cakes ~ they are delicious and super cute.

It's kind of out of the way, but I've always really liked Candy Haven (http://www.candyhaven.org/) in Denton. Their cakes and candies are absolutely delicious and they will do anything you ask style wise. I have had several of their cakes (birthdays, graduations and weddings) and have never been disappointed. The cakes they make are rich, moist and beautiful. Geez, now I want one!!
