I'm a mom of a soon to be 2 year old who is OBSESSED with the Wiggles!!! For his b-day this June I want to buy a birthday cake in the shape of the BIG RED CAR that the wiggles drive. Anyway, this b-day has to be extra special as we will be moving away in July for school so family from out of town will visit, so I want to make it extra special without braking the bank of course. Does anyone know of a bakery that would do a good job recreating this? or of a place that does wiggles cakes?? A lot of groceries stores won't put a picture of the wiggles or anything because of copyright issues. Anyway, any ideas will be appreciated.

Hi J.~ A friend of mine does cakes (its her business). She has done so many for close friends - I can send you photos of our animal/jungle cupcakes she did for my 3 yr old. Her website is:
http://www.dolcevitacakes.com/
Please let her know I gave her the name. I understand about the Wiggles fan; my 3 yr old was obsessed. Last year we had to go with Elmo because of the copyright problems. I wish I had lived here then to have Lindsey do the cake. Good luck, D. Mohr

I know we bought a full sheet cake from Sam's Club about 1 1/2 yr ago and they were able to put a picture of the Wiggles car framed around my son's photo. And then they decorated the rest of the cake in Wiggles colors. I think Sam's is licensed to put that image on the cake because they had the example in their book. You might try calling to see if they still offer that image. It was really cute! And go to www.birthdayexpress.com for all your Wiggles party favors, extras -- they have it all!
Hi there, I don't know the name of the bakery, but there is a little strip mall across the street from Valley View mall on Preston Rd. It's where Vantage shoe warehouse is and Ragwear. There is also a tailor there. The bakery is in the corner of the strip mall, you cannot see it from Preston Rd. And I think the strip mall is right next to the 99 cent store. He is a very nice man willing to please. I would think that a small bakery like that would try to do whatever they could for you. I'm sorry I don't know the name of it! Good luck, I have to 2 Wiggle Fanz in my household and know exactly what you mean! Birthday Express might also be a good place to go for little extras. You can find them online.
Have fun!

Candy Haven in Denton, it may be a little too far for you, but we got my twin boys first b-day cake there. I took them the decorations that I was using, and they created just what I wanted. They also have a book you can look at, and I would guarantee they have something for the Wiggles. Their website is www.candyhaven.org - Good Luck!
Just saw Wiggles B-day cakes at Sam's Club this morning! They were cute and they had 2-4 designs to choose from in their bakery book. Their cakes are yummy, too and very well priced. Have fun.
I am an artist in the Dallas area and I have actually just put a request in to Hit Entertainment to gain permission to do a wiggles mural. I can give you the lady's number that I called. I am supposed to hear back in a few days from their legal dept so I can let you know about what I find out too.
It says on their website that you can reproduce their stuff by you for your own personal use so if you are artsy in any way you could probably try to do it yourself with no legal issues. Since I am doing it for someone else I have to ask permission.
I don't know of a specific bakery you could use, but I know of a website you can use to find a bakery near-by that might help you. www.local.com It makes it easy to find what you are looking for locally.
Hope this helps!

Try Candy Haven in Denton. If that doesn't work, I have a cousin who does cakes that are FABULOUS. She did a princcess castle for her niece's birthday. The cake was 3 feet tall, had a moat and everything. It's a little pricey, but she's really good. She's doing my kids cakes this year -- baby einstein caterpillar for my son's 1st, and cookie monster for my daughter's 3rd
J. - I don't know if you like to bake but the below website had a bunch of adorable wiggles cakes. If you can't find a bakery that will mimic this you may be able to do it yourself. I have made my childrens birthday cakes for years. Sometimes you can even find a pan that you want. Some of the examples on the website said they used a race car pan. These are very easy and fun to do. Besides the rest of the family will thing you are the coolest. Haha.
Any questions or if you need help my email is ____@____.com.

Not sure if this would help, but I've dealt with copyright issues in the past by emailing the organization and requesting permission to use an image. I bet if you got a release statement from the Wiggles a grocery store would put the picture on.
I know of a lady in Allen who has done it..

She is making me a cake this weekend for my son't birthday (Not Wiggles)
I have heard great things about her cakes, but I know it may be far for you.
Good luck
