Hi A. - I used a lot of the Highlands teething tabs with my first son and they worked wonders. My second son had better teething relief with the Highlands earache tabs. With both, we would dose every 15-20 minutes until the pain subsided and then every 4 hours.
I've heard to refrain from Orajel numbing products because they can "toughen" the gums.
Also, you might consider ibuprofen (baby Motrin/baby advil etc)rather than Tylenol. Ibuprofen works better on inflammatory pain and lasts a little longer than Tylenol. 6-8 hours rather than 4 with Tylenol.
For persistent pain, you can also alternate between Tylenol and ibuprofen (you can get dosing info. from your doc)
Another natural remedy for teething that my sister used for her daughter is barley water. She would make an infusion of organic barley flakes and warm water, strain and let her daughter drink the infusion in a bottle or sippy. I haven't tried this personally but she said it worked for her. (I think the teething tabs are easier and no doubt they probably taste better!
Best of luck to you and your daughter!
