There's a new consignment store opening in Frisco the begining of Feb called The Good Steward. My friend is opening it and she'll be looking to fill the store in about 2weeks.The web site will be up in about another week. She's gonna do womens and mens. goodstewardconsignment.com
I did the same thing with my old suits and office clothes. I spent an entire afternoon driving around to consignment stores in the north Dallas, Plano, Frisco area and no one wanted anything that wasn't name brand designer and/or very new (within a year of purchase). I'll never do it again. You can try it, but I would suggest just saving your expense and time and either put it as a lot on Ebay or craigslist or donate it. For reference, my clothes were mainly Ann Taylor, Casual Corner, Limited, Express, and similar brands.
I found a shop called Pretti New and there are 3 of them in the metroplex (all separately owned) - 1 in Plano; 1 in Frisco and the newest in Little Elm. I've had a lot of luck consigning my items with them. The consignment split is 50%-50% and you can either opt to take your cash or leave it and receive add'l store credit when you shop. I highly recommend them to anyone that appreciates 'good bargains!'
They have a great consignment sale twice a year in two different locations. I've heard rave reviews about their service.
Restyle in Frisco Main Street right off Preston...it's a cute little store but you won't get much money for your stuff. I take my stuff down to Clothes Circuit in Dallas but it needs to be in perfect condition and very nice brands. Restyle will take any brand but you won't get much....you should take a few pieces in to them and try them out and see if you like them.
I take most of my clothing to Cotton Closet. It is located in Allen at the intersection of Greenville(Hwy. 5) and Main Street (McDermott).
Good luck!
If you just want to get rid of the suits, and getting money for them isn't a big concern, you might want to contact a local women's shelter. I know Genesis Womens Shelter is looking for women's business clothing donations. These are for women who need to find jobs, but obviously don't have the money to go out and buy clothes for an interview.
See Cotton Closet on N.Greenville Ave near CiCi's Pizza and Kentucky Fried chicKen. There is a children's consignment store a few doors down. Little shopping plaza.
I wear a size 2-4 and need clothes so please bring them to the Cotton Closet.
