I recently decided to stay at home for the time being and would like to "retire" some of my work suits, etc. Is there a good place to consign ladies clothes where I might get a few bucks? These are decent brands: Ann Taylor, Tahari; nothing too "high fashion" though. I've gone into Labels consignment store at Preston/Frankford as a customer and the owner/mgr was so snooty I would prefer not give her my business. Anyone had luck consigning your own clothes or is it best to try Ebay on the decent ones and donate the rest? Many thanks!
Hey Ladies! Thanks for the help! I went to Clothes Circuit this morning. At first I thought my stuff wouldn't be nice enough, but they took all 16 items, including Bebe, etc. The consignment contract seems really good. thanks for the tips! I'll also try some of the other places mentioned to consign/shop. Once I went through my closet, the spring stuff I had was just cocktail dresses and casual clothes. For the ladies asking what size, I am a 6 but unfortunately all the suits I have are fall/winter, not spring. If still interested, let me know. Otherwise, I'll probably be taking them to consign in the fall. many thanks!
Hi B.. I always take my clothes to Clothes Circuit. I believe it's on Sherry Lane over at Park Cities. I've always received a fair amount for my clothes. You can call over there and it usually states on the VM what clothes they need at the time.
I'm not sure if Frisco is too far, but there is a consignment shop just west of Preston and Main called ReStyle. They are very friendly and seem to do good business. While you will make less than eBay it's a lot less trouble.
What size? I may be interested in buying them and getting them off your hands!
I am not sure about the consignment stores. There is one at Preston adn Campbell, and the people there are VERY nice. There is also one at Coit and Arapaho, however I have not been in that store.

B., There is one in the strip mall at the north east corner of Frankford and Preston (strip mall with the Tom Thumb, Khols, Pei Wei). I was there last week just to check it out and they have a 8 item minimum...
I consigned some clothes at Consigning Women at Coit and Spring Creek. They have a website I believe. I had no problems at all!

You might be better to sell them on Ebay or Craigs List. The consignment stores don't give you a thing. Hardly enough for your trouble. Unless they are all "fashion label" they don't even want them. That is just the way they are. Unless you walk in with all "high price labels" and act like they do, they just look at you like, "what are you doing here?".
I hate those stores! They are selling second-hand stuff, what makes it any better than another 2 second hand store!!
Anyway, that is just my 2 cents.

That's really interesting....I went into "Labels" and was interested in consigning and thought she was very rude, too....Well, anyway, I've had alot of success with Clothes Circuit. Everyone there is very nice--I love it there! Since I've stopped working, I can't afford to spend the crazy amount of money that I used to spend on my clothes so now I do almost all of my shopping at Clothes Circuit. I've taken most of my nice clothes to them and I've gotten alot of money for them. It's located at tollway & Norhwest Hwy. good luck.
