I am 3 days late, my boob are really sore.. I took 2 lines test.. And both lines showed up saying positive..then i took a digital and it said not pregnant... What is the deal!? Am i or am i not?! What are the chances???
Ok honey, you are all kinds of pregnant!! I hope that is good news:) I have always had that happen....why is it that we insist on taking so many tests anyway..it is sort of compulsive isnt it!! Congratulations, and start taking those vitamins:) ~A.~

I think with two positive tests you have something going on. You should definatley see a doctor for confirmation. I have always been told you can have false neg. and no false pos.

Usually you cannot get a false positive, but you can get a false negative. Some pregnancy tests are more sensitive than others. If you are only 3 days late, you may only be in the early stages. Wait a few days and try again.

The rule of thumb is that you don't get false positives with pregnancy tests, only false negatives. I would say your eggo is prego. Congrats!

I would say probably yes. The digital ones seem to be less sensitive even though they say they work better. Call your doc and ask for a blood test. That's really probably the best way to be sure.

I think you are pregnant. Test have different sensitivity levels. Go to www.peeonastick.com and look up the tests you used. I used the $1 tests from the Dollar Tree and they are ranked more sensitive than some of the most expensive one.
Good luck!

Same thing happended to me when I was pregnant with my daughter, boobs sore, tired, kind of gaggy feeling. The digital tests are a waste of money!! Dollar store tests, old fashinoed stick in the pee, worked for me! Sorry had to be silly, but You're Pregnant, call the ob/gyn Enjoy this journey, and get lots of sleep! You will need it. Oh BTW keep little (B i t c h)Debbie out of the pantry! I had to evict her back in January! and left all her garbage on my azz

K.,
Same thing happened to my daughter. She took a test on Sat and it was negative, then another one on Tues and is was positive. The test she took were First Response. She is 6 months pregnant now and we just found out it's a girl!!!
I say go let the gyn run a test on you (blood work and pee test) but chances are you ARE pregnant! If you are late only 3 days, you may not have enough of the pregnancy hormone in your system yet to show up strongly. Like someone else said earlier, take your vitamins and get some rest cause you will need it. Those little ones get here and grow up fast ! Congratulations !

I'd call the doctor just incase. False negatives are much more likely than false postives.

Hi K., I would definetly go to the doctor and have them test you. I would think that if you had a positive result, chances are likely that you are. It's probably still early..... that's why you also got a negative. When I took one it had 1 line then a half line. What the heck, so I'm half pregnant! I went to the doctor and I was 2 weeks pregnant! So I found out really early! Even on their test, it was faint. Also, my first symptom was I had really bad heart burn and I felt like I was getting sick, just a little under the weather. The only thing that sounded good was vanilla ice cream and cinnamon apples. Yes, my boobs were sore but mainly in the center, if you know what I mean! I had a great experience during my 9 months. Everyone is different, so you might not have any of the symptoms I did. Good Luck, I hope everything goes well for you.

This same thing happened to my sister. The digital told her she was not pregnant and the line one told her twice she was...she is now the mother of a beautiful 2 1/2 year old boy. Go to the doctor.

I would take another one using the first morning urine (when pregnancy hormones are most concentrated). Generally false negatives are more common than false positives.
Good Luck!

The doctor told me you can NEVER have a false positive but you can often have a false negative! I would say you are pregnant! When you peed on the digital test you probably didn't have quite enough of the pregnancy hormone in your urine at that time. Usually first morning pee has the highest level of the hormone. Congratulations!

I have always heard it only take 1 positive to confirm that you are! After you see that one, that means your hormome level in you urine has told the test that your levels have changed. If it your levels hadnt changed you would never get a positive....

You can have a false negative. It is very rare to have a false positive though. You should go see your doctor but I would say you are definitely pregnant.

I have always heard there are no false positives, just false negatives due to the amount of HCG the test detects.

I have had 2 ectopic pregnancies. The first one the pregnancy tests I took were positive and then a couple of days later it was negative. This included a blood test in the doctors office. My breasts were sore, I had dizzy spells, felt generally ill and then one morning I woke up in terrible pain. We went to the emergency room and they sent me home thinking I had Pelvic Inflammatory Disease. Two days later (still in pain and in shock and bleeding out) my doctor discovered that I had an ectopic pregnancy and I was rushed into surgery. I was 7 and half weeks pregnant.
I would definitely let your doctor know and be very aware of any strange feelings or pains.
Edit - Sorry to be the bummer here. Congratulations and I hope your pregnancy is fine and uneventful. I have been through a variety of situations and tend to lean toward cautious excitement even while I was pregnant with my twin boys.

you're most likely pregnant. I'm due in a few weeks and for a month I was getting all negative preg. tests and had one pos. (very faint) I was pregnant all of that time. those tests can be wrong when they say neg. and they are almost ALWAYS right when they say pos. The Dr. can confirm, and the sooner you know, the better! Blessings, S.

Same thing happened to me. I didn't get a positive until I was 6 days late. I got a negative with the digital and then the next day another digital was positive. There are no false positives but only false negatives because the test isn't sensitive enough or you are testing too early. Good luck!

When I got pregnant with my second child it was totally unexpeccted!! SO...I took SEVERAL tests....4 out of 5 said positive, the negative was a digital.... I was completely in shock... I would take another one if you are unsure in the morning ~ more concentrated. Then call your doctor. Most of them will schedule you and appointment at around 6 weeks or so. Just to be on the safe side, take your vitamins (folic acid included!!), drink water, and take care of yourself!
Best of luck to you!
PS ~ I am a cancer survivor and was not supposed to be able to have anymore children, hence the reason for taking so many tests....I did not want to get excited and then be disappointed. False negatives yes...false positives no

The digital may be less sensitive. Call your doctor. I'm sure the other two are right.
I did have a false positive before my second child, but my hormones were all screwed up from another issue.

My friend told me that her doctor told her if you drink a lot of water to be able to take the three tests the urine becomes too diluted to read positive. Granted it is "through the grapevine" information but it seems reasonable to me.

You're definitely pregnant.
Maybe you're very early pregnant and the digital didn't pick up the hcg levels yet but the standard lines test did.
Either way, you can NOT have a false posotive.
Congratulations!!!

Okay, I read this several days ago and didn't respond. My guess is that you are pregnant. It is possible to get a false +, but not likely. Usually you get a false + only if you have recently had a baby and your hormones are still off, or if you have PCOS or something. I realize it has been several days since you have posted so maybe you already know???

Congrats you're prego! If for some reason you want to take another test I would take the standard one. I have never trusted those digital ones. There is just something about them.
