We’ve used Wordly Wise 3000 workbooks before to study vocabulary and it was decent. We tried out Beestar for a few months and we’ve really liked it. Beestar’s vocabulary program has lots of vivid pictures and contents. The words also align well with the school curriculum. Wanted to reach out and see if anyone else has used both programs and what everyone’s thoughts are? Thanks in advance!
Hi @lorixcollins . My children used Wordly Wise when they were in elementary school in hard copy. I’ve looked at Beestar and in my opinion, Wordly Wise 3000 is more structured and complete as an actual curriculum that teaches vocabulary as part of reading comprehension. But it is not that fun. Beestar is more fun and engaging but doesn’t have the same structured approach. I think it is more of a supplement activity and not an actual structured curriculum. So I guess it depends on what your purpose is. I think someone else posted somewhere recently that if the child doesn’t like a program and doesn’t actually use it, then it can’t help at all. I used an incentive for my children. Each well completed lesson earned them 30 minutes of extra time at the park.
