My daughter is 3 years old, weighs about 36 lbs, and is 40 inches tall. When should I move her to a booster seat? Our car seat is a Britax and is HUGE, and was hoping to have something with less of a lift than the car seat.

I moved my daughter to a booster seat when she was 5 yrs old, after she outgrew her Britax Marathon. Here were I live (Norway), it is recommended to keep children less than 4 years old in a 5 point harness seat backward facing. I think your daughter, despite her size, is too young to be moved. I had major problems with my daughter taking off the shoulder belt and reaching around to get things, etc, that did not happen in the 5 pt harness. A booster seat is better suited for an older child. Keep your daughter in her Britax as long as you can!
