Hello... We are planning a trip to South Lake Tahoe for my brother in law's suprise 50th birthday. We are planning on flying in to Sacramento Int. Airport on 10/22/09 and fly back 10/27/09. Only 2 adults will be flying. Money is tight at the moment and I was wondering if there was any travel angents we can use where we can start paying now and be paid of by than.
Several airlines (check if they fly into Sacramento) sell gift cards, and you could purchase the gift cards when you can until 21-30 days out from your trip, then redeem them for your tickets. Call Southwest and Continental about their program and about redeeming the cards. You can get them online or sometimes a big store like Target, WalMart, Kroger, etc has the airline gift cards or even American Express gift cards. These are pay-as-you-go options.
You could get an interest free credit card so you can buy your tickets now and make payments between now and when you go on your trip. Just make sure you pay it off before the interest free period is over. And read all the fine print. Credit card companies can be sneaky.
Continental has a credit card where you can pay later.. you pay over three months I believe. Check on their website. I alway fly continental to Sacramento. It is the cheapest.FYI...
