Toddler Spanish

Hello Moms, I am looking for a spanish class in Dallas (inside LBJ) for toddlers. I would love a classroom setting that is stimulating to the children. However I can not afford $25.00-$35.00+ an hour for lessons each week. It seems that Coppell and Frisco have the right idea and charge $12.00-$15.00 a class. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Age group is relative, it really depends on the actual cognitive level of each child. If we assume they are all at the same level, then of course, all THREE year olds should be together, and then all FOUR year olds should be together. Because age THREE and age FOUR are so different as far as development and speaking abilities, it would not be effective to put them together. That is not to suggest I could not do it, it would take some modifications. For example, the older kids would help with activities and model for the younger kids.

As far as number, an even number is ideal so that they can pair or group together to act out skits and practive dialogues or work on vocabulary. The ultimate goal is speaking, because they love to talk!

On price, it really depends on how many kids we are looking at. I generally charge $15.00 an hour. Discounts are available as more kids are involved.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

I don't know of any spanish lessons inside 635 but I send my 2 yr old daughter to the Spanish School house at Arapaho and Hillcrest. They have a spanish emersion program. She just started this year and loves it. They can go 2, 3 or 5 days a week from 9 to 2. I send mine on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They are really great over there. If you want to look it up, the website is www.spanishschoolhouse.com

Good luck!

If you get togrther at least 6 kids and approach the Spanish Teacher at your local Elementary school I'm sure they would do an after school program for you. This is exactly what we are doing in N. Dallas for our 3 and 4 year olds.
