My son will be going to middle school at Southwest middle school in Palm Bay not next year but the following year.Does anyone know anything about their VE classes and their programs for kids with Asperger's?

My daughter just finished 7th grade this year. She was supposed to go to Southwest Middle School but my husband and I did not want her going there for several reason. One was some of the kids that she went to elementary school with would be going there enpiticular there were a couple of girls that were very mean to her and I needed to pull her away from that situation. Also I just kept hearing bad things about the school. She has an IEP, she was diagnosed with ADD and was also behind in math and reading. We dicided to put in Odyssey Charter School, it is located on Elderon out by bayside. I love the school and the faculty they are all friendly and actually care about your kids. The school goes from grades K-8th. The school is alos a green school. What that means is that everything is inviromentaly friendly everything from the paint on the walls to the sealant on the floors which actually helps with kids that have ashma and other breathing problems. If you go to the front office they will give you a tour of the school. They do have to wear a uniform, it is a green or white school shirt and kakhi pants that you can buy anywhere.
