I am looking for the most reasonable camp grounds closest to Adventureland in Des Moines ,IA
Adventureland has it's own campground $35/ night for full hook up this time of year or $25/ night for tent camping. Not sure if there's anything near by that is cheaper but if you use Adventureland's at least you are right there. Have fun! Kat
Of course there are campgrounds right there at Adventureland, but the sites are pretty pricey comparatively, and the most important issue for us was that NO sites have fire rings. If you want to have a fire (which we cherish very much while camping for entertainment and cooking) you have to bring your own fire "pit" from home...that just didn't work for us.
There are, however some very nice sites- both RV and tent at the Saylorville Lake area. Our favorite is Cherry Glen. I think rates are about par and its not a bad drive at all to Adventureland.
