My husband is Catholic and we used to go to St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church but I find it too large. I am not catholic but I enjoyed going to church. I was thinking about converting but my husband suggested we try a Lutheran Church. Could anyone suggest a Lutheran Church in Lubbock? I am looking for something middle sized. Also to join a Lutheran church, do you have to go through classes? I have gone to a christian church (Discipals of Christ) all my life. We are not originally from Lubbock and are students. Hi Rachel. I know you said you were looking for a Lutheran Church but if you are just looking to go to church I would highly reccomend Bacon Heights Baptist Church (5039 53rd St. and Slide Rd.) I just moved to Lubbock and I started going there a few weeks ago. They have made us feel very welcome, my son and I have even joined a playgroup there. There are alot of young couples, and alot of children at Bacon Heights. My husband is also Catholic, and he goes to TTU, I stay home with our 2-year-old son. Sorry I couldn't help you with a finding a Lutheran Church. Lots of Luck!
