I am looking for good gift ideas for a 6 year old boy who broke his arm. Any suggestions?
A cd of fun kid songs? A game to play with siblings or a friend? A fun book?
We love 20 Q by Radica. It is a battery operated hand held item. We have given them to children, families and adults.. Target has them in the toy section.
Also Board games.
I would suggest a good book, maybe one where you have to find things hidden in the pages. A short video might be a good gift too.
my niece broke both her arms and we got her an ant farm..hours of still fun. try wal-mart. it was a good thing for her to watch and she was real intrigued by the ants.
My little guy broke his arm just as he was starting violin. Try holding a bow that way! It was amazing how quickly he healed. Chutes and Ladders is a fun board game (can use other arm to move pieces.) Spywear/gear, binoculars, telescope, magnifying class....? Good luck!
My sone once gave a fish in a tiny fishbowl to a friend who was ill. The boy loved it, and even named it after my son!
paddle ball?
movies, books, things that need to be painted (with parent around) kids will be able to do almost anything put in front of them. They will find a way, even with a cast. I walked on stilts with a cast on leg. So you see they will find a way.
My son was 10 when he broke his arm. A friend got him a pair of walkie-talkies. He had a blast! Even if he was playing with other kids who could run and jump around, the walkie talkies were cool b/c they can still all play "spy" games....etc....
Remember to give a pkg. of batteries with the walkie-talkies. Lots of times people don't have that type just laying around the house.
Have you heard about Casttoo?
It's a Tattoo Design that applies directly to the cast surface and makes a world of difference to the person who uses it.
I sent one to my cousin after stumbling upon their website at www.casttoo.com She said the product arrived within 2 days, was easy to apply and made her feel a million time better!
I highly recommend it.
My 8-year-old nephew broke his arm in June. I found a really fun shirt for him from BooBoo Kids. The shirt said “I Went to the E.R. and All I Got Was This Lousy Cast.”
The shirt was delivered to him in a gift box with a cool get-well certificate. He seemed to love the shirt and wears it all the time. You can find the shirt at
