We are thinking of moving to the district. Everything I have read about Lovejoy is positive and I know the district is rated 'exemplary', but I wanted feedback from families who have actual experience, if possible. Thank you!
Lovjoy ISD is fantastic. My husband is a fireman in Fairview and raves about the schools out there. We are in McKinney currently and would LOVE to move within the district but the houses (for the most part) are all so expensive. I've never heard anything negative about the district.
FYI - Allen ISD is good as well, but I would go with Lovejoy first.
My parents live in Lucas and are always telling me how when my children are old enough for school that we HAVE to move out there so they can be in Lovejoy schools. They know a lot of people who were very integral in putting the school together and they are doing a lot of really neat and progressive things out there as well. The superintendent, Ted Moore, was my principal in Allen when I was in middle school and he was amazing- we did so many really neat things when he was there- he really thought out of the box and helped us to learn in many different ways. My parents were also told that they had an excess of funds when building the high school because of all of the donations given, and that is a very rare thing these days. If you get the chance, I would DEFINITELY move there!!
I am a teacher, and I have several friends who teach in Lovejoy. From what I've heard from them and others, Lovejoy is one of the best districts around. I know my friends there are some of the most talented teachers I've ever met. Lovejoy only hires the best of the best.
