I am a mother of 2 young children in Cypress, texas. I am currently going through a divorce. I think I could really use a support group with others going through this similiar experience. I'm the first person to go through a divorce in my family. My family members find it difficult to identify to my situation.
The Foundry United Methodist Church has a support group that you could look into. They should have information on there website

and I think they have childcare.

I know that many churches have divorce support groups. You could also try looking in the free magazines that they offer at places like grocery stores to see what else might be available locally. They can be great resources.

I am in a similar situation. I am not sure if you are looking for a support group such as what has already been suggested or other mothers going through the same situation. My husband (2nd marriage for me) is wanting a divorce whereas I do not. If you need someone to talk to and you would like to connect with me just send me a message and I can respond back with my personal information. In any case, I wish you well and just remember to be strong even when I know it's hard to think about anything else.

I am older than you are but I understand what you are going through. I raised my 3 children alone after a 15 year marriage. Like you I was the frist to be divorced in my family so there was no one close to go to.
Make lots of memories with your little ones. Our first valentnes I could not afford vanentine stuff but I had everything to make pizza size cookies. They loved it adn I am still making them.
Christmas we went to every possible Christmas function at churches, schools.... to get in the Christmas spirit.
The good news is we made it! My children are grown now and I will be a grandmother in March! Write I you want someone to talk to. [email protected]
Im also from Cypress, Texas and Im also going through it also. Im having a hard time trying to find one also. Im a father of a wonderful boy but my ex wife betrayed me with the godfather of my son and is re-marrying him. I dont know how it looks from the outside but from my perspective a horrible situation.
