Seeking childcare in Allen or McKinney

We have just moved to the area. I have an 18 month old and I am looking for a great daycare in Allen or McKinney. I am a little nervous. I would greatly appreciate any feedback on places.
Thanks

Hi Amanda,
Welcome to the area. I live in McKinney now, but grew up in Allen. You will love it here. I have an inhome day care. I have a spot availible for full time care and would love to take care of your child. I am a mother of a 4 yr old little girl and a 11 mo boy. I take care of 2 children that both just turned 2yrs old. So the kids would all be close in age. I would love to have you visit so you can see our play room and get to know me better. Feel free to contact me anytime. 972 540-2902

Thank you,

Hi Amanda. Welcome to the area. I live in McKinney and did some research on daycares about 2 years ago when my daughter was born.

In Allen:
Creme de la Creme (McDermott and Alma)- Very nice. LOTS of stuff to do. But they are probably the most expensive daycare in the area.

Peanut Gallery (Exchange Pkwy) - My friend sends her son here and likes it. Another friend had her daughter in the Richardson location. The only complaint I've heard about Peanut Gallery is that the kids aren't always learning (they have a TV time in the late afternoons).

Primrose - not sure where this is but it's owned by the same people as in McKinney.

In McKinney:
Children's Courtyard - haven't been here, but this place was recommended to me by my friend who had her child in the one in Flower Mound. This wasn't opened at the time, but I've still heard good things about it.

Primrose of Eldorado (or Stonebrook) - My daughter goes to Primrose and I really like it. My daughter has been here since she was 6 weeks old. They learn a lot here and I never worry that my daughter isn't safe. Love it.

Heritage Learning Center (Jordin & Virgina Pkwy) - I've heard good things about this place. The price is cheaper than some of the others I've mentioned. We checked it out and all the parents we talked to liked it. So I would say it's worth checking out. I personally think it might be better for older kids (my daughter was 18 months when we checked it out) and at the time, her class would have consisted of older kids plus her. And the boys were much bigger and much rougher during the open house (climbing all over everything). Of course it could be different now, since those kids are going to be in an older classroom now. They won't take any children younger than 18 months and they move kids to a new classrom after each year (it's like a school year).

Hope this helps!
