I am a soon to be aunt who made a diaper cake to give to my sister-in-law at a couples shower. It is five tiers of 160 diapers with pacifiers, bottles, onesies and assorted baby care items attached with ribbon and topped with a rubber duck and stuffed lamb. Friends have suggested I start making them for other individuals to purchase for baby shower gifts. I was curious if any moms would like to receive a gift like this at their shower or if any one of you would purchase it for a friend. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
When I had my baby shower for my first baby I received a diaper cake for my gift from my husbands aunt and I loved it, I had never seen one of them and everyone at the party liked it too. I really think that you will have a lot of people wanting them.
I have seen something like this at my sister-in-law's shower and I LOVED it!!!!! I guess the main question would be at what price. I think it is a unique, cute and practical gift for any upcoming/new mom. What do you think the cost would be for what you described?
There are couple locations of a store called Diapermart in Dallas that sell these. I don't recall the prices but you could check there to see what they do and what you want to offer. They have different sizes at various prices.
I would buy one for every shower I would attend. What a great idea! You could market it online or at some of these pricey boutiques in the Plano or Dallas area.
