My son is 3 1/2 and we've just begun brainstorming whether or not he should attend preschool and what the benefits would be, when would be a good time for him to start, etc... I know day care "centers" have a preschool room, but I'm not sure how beneficial that would be. Right now him and my 1 year old daughter are in an in-home daycare. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Stacy -
This is an article from Parents magazine that might help you. http://www.parents.com/parents/story.jhtml?storyid=/templatedata/parents/story/data/5807.xml
Choosing a preschool is a huge thing to do... I know that kids can start anywhere from 3-5 but that they usually start at 4. I know that St. Matthew's in Allouez has a great preschool program otherwise if you are looking at daycare preschools, encompass has a great program too. There are so many options out there - I know that there are even like "preschool fairs" where reps from all of the preschools in town come together to promote the school for parents seeking a program.
Good Luck!
Marie
