My daughter is 18 1/2 months and every time I give her a bath she will poop in the tub. Lately I have cut her bath times down to only a few minutes (basically get her clean and take her out).
Is she too young to start potty training? It was suggested to me to put her on the toliet before/after a bath. In the hopes that she would not go to the bathroom while in the tub.
Has anyone experienced this? She does let me know when she has pooped in her diaper and sometimes when she has peed. Should I try putting her on the potty?
Thanks so much!
There are people who believe that newborns are ready to be potty trained. Data from around the world shows that potty training age is very much dependent on what mom thinks, and on her motivation.
It sounds to me like your daughter is so ready.
Can't hurt to try but don't turn it into a pressure/control issue. The pooping in the tub is likely due to the fact that warm water relaxes the bowels, thus resulting in the tubpoo.
my daughter is 9 month old and i have been putting her on the potty for the last 2 months and now when she has to go to crawls over to the potty and bags on it she goes pee a few times a day and poops every other day on it i put her on it in the morning when she gets up and then before and after each meal and before and after each nap as long as the child can sit up they can start potty training it harder to do potty training as they get older 2 or 3 when its all so new to them i hope this helps good luck
