What age do start using a pillow in the child's bed? Our Son has a toddler bed and he is almost 3 years old and has started to sleep in the bed. Thanks for your help!
Once we put our children in big beds they got pillows.
I guess it depends on what you want.
Ever since my son was months old he would fall asleep on a pillow on our lap or right beside us of course he could fit on one at that age...I think he was around six months when i put on in his bed. It was not a huge fluffy pillow but a well used pillow from our bed. He is 19 months now and sleeps with me feather pillow. I think your son can handle a pillow or if you are scardd get a small pillow like one that you get from a craft store or walmart inthe fabric section.
My daughter was a 2 1/2 when I finally allowed a pillow. Sometimes to this day she doesn't even sleep on it.
My daughter was about 2 when we found a miniature version of a standard pillow at Ikea. She uses it most nights. It isn't very thick, so I can't see how there could be any danger to it.

They have a wonderful little pillow with a silkie pillowcase at www.comfortsilkie.com. Look under Kid Comforts. It's called "Just my size." Mind you - it's $20 for the pillow and cover, but they really last and are so comfortable and are age-appropriate for younger kids. We are a silkie family now - my husband and I each got silkie pillow cases for ourselves too! (Oh, and I do not work for them or anything - just recommending a good company and wonderful products we've discovered.)
Both of my kids were 2 when they started using pillows. For my son I used an old pillow that was one of my grandparents. I liked it because it was thin and light weight. I just threw it in the wash to freshen it up. And for my daughter I found a little toddler pillow.
