I've switching pediatricians. My son's previous ped seemed to brush off every question that we had.. example - "My son seems to choke when I'm feeding him." "Well, stop feeding him." DUH! Also, he didn't remember me when we went for his first appointment just DAYS after his birth. Anyone know of a caring pediatrician in the area?
I don't have any referral for you as I have only been here a month. However, I do have some advice and a little something to share. Advice--switch doctors and don't look back!LOL! As for the sharing, my son did the same thing when he was just a baby and it eventually passed. If you continue to have concerns with this, I would suggest contacting a speech-language pathologist to discuss any feeding issues. Aspiration (choking) can be a very serious issue as it can cause pneumonia or, and I won't say it, but the worst possible scenerio. Also, if he isn't successful when eating, he may choose to stop eating and weight loss would be a pretty serious issue for such a little guy. Good luck and, if you find a good pediatrician, I would be open to suggestions myself. Have a great day!
I had a hard time with peds also. I bounced around from doc. to doc. with my first son and fond myself doing the same thing with my second son. I have come to the conclusion that Im not satisfied with peds around here so I take both of my boys to our family Doctor. His info is: Dr. Jackie Beene and he is in Webb City at the Dr's Hospital. They dont see Beene but they do see his nurse Prac. and her name is Michele, very good.
Good luck
