pediatric dentist

hi, I am a mom to an 11 month old little girl. Just recently I noticed that one of her top teeth seems to be disappearing. It looks like the gum is growing over the tooth. She doesn't seem to be in any pain but I am worried it could be something serious. Any suggestions on what it could be or referrals to a pediatric dentist would be greatly appreciated.

Nakia,

My son sees Dr. Jane Delaney in Alexandria, VA. I think she's wonderful. I don't have her phone or email handy, but I'm sure you can google it.

Good luck.

Hello

I know of a pediatric dentist. Her name is Dr Cynthia Allen-Williams and she is located in Temple Hills MD. Her phone number is 301-449-5330 or you can check out her website at www.childrensdentalcarousel.com. She and her entire staff are very child friendly and I felt very comfortable with her.

I recommend Dr. Hill in Silver Springs, MD on 301-408-3131. She is really great with kids and a great dentist. My son's tooth was turning grey after a fall. She examined and monitored and it is now fine. Plus he loves her and going to the dentist is fun.

My dentist is Dr. Anthony Johnson he is in Bowie and very good. He even has Saturday hours. His number is 301-249-5522. Good luck.

I take my son to Berry Dentist in Largo, MD. That office is great with kids. My son has been going since he was 1 years old and he is 3 now and he sits in the chair by himself because they make him very comfortable. Good luck!

I don't know where you are located but I would recommend our pediatric dentist: Dr. Scott Leaf on Rolling Road, in Springfield, VA. I believe he also has an office in Burke.

Dr Scott Leaf is fantastic his number is 703-455-1339 tell him Angie Trijo referred ya! I have 5 kids and the oldest now 21 started when she was a year old (she fell and knocked her 2 front teeth out)

There's a great dentist that's part of the Children's Mobile Health project if you don't mind being seen on a full service dental van that goes to different locations in NE and SE DC. His name is Kenneth Keyes and the number is 202-436-3060 (you don't have to be a medical patient to see the dentist). My kids have a great dentist that's located in Waldorf--Dr. Pincus and the number is 301-843-6765 if you don't mind traveling. He is part of the Greater Maryland Dental Partners group that sees adults, kids, orthodontics and oral surgery all in a one-stop shop.

Hi Nakia C
I recommed Berry Children Dental in Largo, MD. The staff was friendly, well organized and made the kids feel comfortable. The telephone number is 301-333-2282 and you can check out their website www.berrychildrendental.com. Good Luck

Hello,

Not sure where you live, but I highly recommend Dr. Anthony Johnson in Bowie, MD. He and his staff are wonderful. They have a nice play area for the kids and always play nice music for the adults. My children ages 6, 3 and 1 all enjoy going to the dentist. Their office # is 301-249-5522.

Most dentists recommend that toddlers have their first dental visit by age one. I take my sons to the Dr. Camps Pediatric Dental Center at 2415 Musgrove Rd, Silver Spring, MD. The number is 301-989-8994. I find the hygenists and dentists to be very patient and knowledgeable about working with young, sometimes squirmy kids. My older son loves going to the dentist. Although the magic hasn't completely worked on my two-year-old. Good luck!

You'll have to check his credentials, but I ran across a very attractive pediatric dentist's office in Chevy Chase. Ricardo Perez, DDS, PC. www.drricardoperez.com. Malinda Dice-Shaw in College Park is good with kids too. expertsmiles.com

We take our kids to Dr. Bryan Wood--he's great! Dr. Wood is our family's dentist and his entire staff is so calming, gentle and very skilled. Our boys (4, 5, and 1) love going to his kid-friendly office and always bring home lots of "loot"--tooth brushes, toys, pinwheels, etc. The kids can even watch videos while getting their teeth cleaned! Dr. Wood's office is very close to the Huntington Metro station in Alexandria, and just one traffic light off of the Beltway. His number is 703-960-8670. Dr. Wood is so kind and soothing to my kids and me, too! I can easily recoommend him! Best of luck to you and your little girl!

You didn't say where you are, but we love Kids Teeth in Rockville. http://kidsteeth.net/ 301-330-3222

Don't, don't, don't go to Dr. Gravitz at Greenway Dental Group. My daughter lost 3 of the 4 teeth he filled cavities in b/c he didn't get all the bacteria in the cavities. Even before her double abcess!!!! developed, I swore we would find another dentist because for a pediatric dentist, I didn't feel he worked with my daughter well at all. The treatment at Kids Teeth is a night and day difference!!!!

Also, I saw another recommendation for Dr. Dice-Shah. I've also heard she's good with kids, but she is my dentist. She's in College Park. I found her after my kids were set at Kids Teeth so I'm not moving them.

Not sure where you live however. I highly recommend:
