OT - Sonicare or Oral-B electric toothbrush??

I need to replace my 8+ year old sonicare electric toothbrush and am debating whether or not to buy another sonicare or try an Oral-B one. Any recommendations are appreciated??

I have th eOral-B Professional Care and I LOVE it :)

I have a Spinbrush sonic toothbrush with a replaceable battery instead of recharging. I like it.

I have an Oral B electric that I purchased from my dentist. I love it.

I love my Sonicare. My sister is a dentist, and bought one for my 3 year old. I really like it, and love that it cleans sonic-ly and not by spinning. My mouth always feels clean, and my son and I have not had any cavities!

I just got my first electric toothbrush and got the Oral-B with the timer/clock. I can't compare to SoniCare, but I love mine! I upgraded from the Crest SpinBrush with AA batteries. The clean feeling is so much better now! I also like the smiley face the timer gives me when I get to 2 minutes (I'm a visual person ;-) The package came with a travel case and the electric charge lasts over a week, so you can travel w/o the charger.

We have 2 of the regular Sonicare brushes, and 1 of the kids' Sonicare brushes. We've never had a cavity yet! I have been using Sonicare for the past 10+ years now and I have no complaints. I have not used the Oral-B, so I can't compare the two to each other.

I've had a Sonicare for a few years. I had an issue with it after about 1 year and they replaced it, no questions asked. I've had the replacement for almost 3 years and my husband and I both love it. The product is awesome and so is their customer service. My dentist highly recommended this one, as did our new dentist.

I am a dental hygienist and would recommend either one, it all depends on what you like. The Oral-B Triumph is definitely a great brush but I have heard from patients who consider it too rough on their mouths, even with using the softer brushhead. The Sonicare can be gentler but some patients don't like the "tickly" feeling on the roof of their mouths.

I personally use the Sonicare and if you have been happy with that then I would stick with what you know and like!
