Online shopping, target cards, and cyber monday

I am planning on using my target card for online Christmas shopping for our nieces and nephews. We are on a little bit of a tight budget this year and will have to ship all of their gifts to the west coast, so the Target card seems like a great deal since I will get 5% discount and free shipping . . . to a relatives house to wrap for us! I have not used my target card in a really long time and was wondering if it is a discount on ALL items, or if clearanced items do not apply. How do you use your discount?

Also, I like to do my shopping early, and was thinking about using Cyber Monday. We will be purchasing gifts for a boys and girls ages 1-7. Is it worth it to wait, or should I just get some clearance or sale items now? Thanks for your opinions

I use my Target card on a regular basis in the store. Yes, the 5% includes clearance items. I used it one time to get an I-tunes card and got the discount, but the next time I purchased the i-tunes card I didn’t.

Personally I would not wait until cyber Monday as the good buys are only on a small selection of items. If you see something on sale or clearance buy it now.

I never buy anything on cyber Monday. In fact, I do most of my toy shopping during Target toy clearance in January and July.

The discount applies to everything.
