My children have accumulated too many toys, and I would like to find a place to donate some of them. I would prefer a place where my 7 year old could actually drop the toys off himself and feel like he is doing something good to help children in need. Hopefully he might learn to appreciate the things that he has and not complain. Any ideas?
St. Benedict's Special Children's Center in downtown KC, KS is a really great facility that cares for low income children and children with special needs. The child care center or families that attend would be very grateful for your donation.
Angel Babies takes donations and are located in Olathe. They have a retail store and sell the gently used items to help young single moms.
I think that's a fantastic idea. You might check with Children's Mercy and the Ronald McDonald House. Not sure if they take donations or not, but since there are kids there, he may get to see the people he's helping.
