Just discovered we are expecting twins after IVF. We can't believe it! Anyhow. Trying to find a good OBGYN who is pro vaginal birth (apparently very few are willing to try in Manhattan when it comes to twins - tends to be mandatory C-section) AND who also takes my insurance (United Healthcare Oxford). Any suggestions please?

Not sure what their policy is but they have the lowest c-section rates in manhattan. You could always try a midwife too.

Congratulations! try the office of Dr Daniel Roshan. He is at Madison and 36th st. He was my ob and he specializes in high risk pregnancy. You can google for his website. I think it is a great office and he delivers at NYU. As for vaginal delivery, it is up to you to advocate for that when the time comes-assuming there are no issues. Pregnancy is a long road, you have to be open to anything and everything that can happen. Good luck
You could also try Dr Samantha Feder on 60th and Broadway. I don't know her views on delivery of twins, but she was very open to my natural birth and was supportive of a friend of mine who went VBAC. She delivers at St Lukes/Roosevelt and takes United.
You could also try Dr. Heidi Rosenberg at Cityscape OBGYN on east 32nd Street, Manhattan. I've been going to her for 10+ years now and she delivered my son in 2007. I believe she takes your healthcare insurance. I do not know her policy on twin deliveries, but I can tell you that she is the mother of twin boys herself so she has very personal experience on the matter. She's great - you will love her!!!
